LinkF1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Sebring 12 Hours 2009

Made my third trip to Sebring for the 12 Hours, I go as a spectator but the track is set up very nicely for amateurs like me to be able to get fairly unobstructed views of the cars. I have been steadily taking more and more pictures at the event, the first year I took 2500 shots, the second 3500 shots, this year I took a whopping 6000 with my new D90. The battery usually lasted me all day so on average 2000 pictures each day/battery, but the spare came in handy late in the day on Thursday. I was shooting with my D90, the Nikkor 70-300mm VRII f/4.5-5.6 and for most of the weekend I set it on 135mm using Shutter Priority Mode at 1/160s so the apertures varied. Depending on the light I had a circular polarizer attached to keep the aperture varying between f/8 and f/14 instead of f/16 and above.

These are a few of my favorite shots from the whole weekend:

Thanks! The triple crown would have been a hint of brake glow, now that would have been greedy!
