Pocono 500
On Sunday, the NASCAR Nextel Cup moves to Pocono Raceway for the Pocono 500. The 2.5 mile tri-oval track with its three distinctly different turns provides a welcome change from the “cookie cutter” tracks during the first half of the season. Last year, Nextel Cup series leader Jimmie Johnson won both races at Pocono Raceway. Drivers Matt Kenseth, Sterling Marlin, Brian Vickers, Bobby Labonte, Ricky Rudd and Robby Gordon are all in danger of missing the ‘’The Chase for the Championship”. It will be the first step for these drivers and others in their attempt to make NASCAR's playoff run.

Well it`s over, and Carl Edwards back flipped into victory.
Don`t know if Goodyear, or the teams should be fined for excsessive blown tires. |

Congrats To Carl on an awesome win, he was "The Man". All the guys on Inside Nextel Cup (Mike , Johnny , and Kenny ) said the tire problems were more to do with camber settings as apossed to the rumble strips, 8 degrees is the recommended setting. But if the cars not turning on entry some teams crank in more. Lots of guys hit those strips all day and had no problems.
