AMA Mid Ohio
Peeps,
My apologies for delay in sharing, our dog Jack (who I loved so dearly and was a huge part of my psyche).... ...died whilst I was at Mid Ohio, and aside from meeting commitments. I didn't feel much like doing anything last week especially knowing I was shooting CHAMP in San Jose, however I'm starting to feel like looking at and sharing some images from Mid Ohio (it was soooo dang hot there...) so a few for starters are below... :: :: :: :: Andrew |

Yep, it suck mate. I miss him dearly. He was quite something, especially when I started to take my work seriously (at the peecee - he'd always have this built in clock thatw ould say "well you've been at that machine for at least an hour and a half and it's time you played...so he'd push me off my chair and I'd end up wrestling with the (90lb) beast on the floor).. That is very sad news Andrew, pets certainly take up a huge part of or lives, and often when they are gone it really brings it home to you. If all your photos are like the first one, you must have some very fond memories.
On a brighter side, those pictures are awesome - so sharp. I've never done any bike photography, but I can only imagine how difficult it is to get pictures of that quality. I'd be interested to know what set up you were using. |

Andrew, sorry to hear about Jack. Nice pictures of him here and on your site. Seems like he was a great friend.
As usual, great pics. That weekend was my first go at shooting bikes, wish I had the access you did. Pictures still wouldn't have been anywhere near as good as yours, just hard to find a great spot without fence being in the way. As far as being hot, that's just late July in Ohio. |

Well, I just got to say a big thank you to all who wrote here and offline. Thank you, it means a lot. As for set up, Canon 1DMK2's, and for lenses (referencing the images on my site not just here), EF500f4L, 300f2.8L, 70-200f2.8L and 24-70f2.8L for some of the environmental shots posted there. Next up for me is Virigina International Raceway, followed by Road Atlanta and then (all being well) off to Japan for Motogp! Thanks again all! Andrew |
