British GT 2008
Okay I cant see a thread anywhere regarding British GT for this year so I thought I would get the ball rolling. Barwell-Beechdean are entering 1 DBRS9 in the GT3 class but who are else are confirmed? After a strong 2008 season I am hoping to see the series grow again in 2009.

Chad Racing have at least one F430 GT3, CR Scuderia probably with two. Weren't Brookspeed aiming to expand to run two Vipers? I'd guess Team Modena will run a Lambo again. 22GTRacing have their Aston Martin confirmed in GT3, think they were looking at two cars as well.
I suspect GT4 will be dominated by the Ginetta G50's again. I remember reading about a Ford Mustang, though, and a handful of N24's so with a bit of luck there might be some competition this year. I'm a little disappointed with BGT at the minute, used to be full of so many shapes, sizes, varieties. Now it's mostly 430s, Lambos and G50s. It's alright if the racing is good, I suppose. Still, bring back Keith Ahlers and a Morgan! |

RPM confirmed in MN that they would be running a brace of Vipers and possibly a Ford GT.

It's the old story, isn't it - instead of modifying an already existing road car for the track, someone builds what is in effect a racing car and then makes the road version from it. Not exactly in the spirit of the GT4 rules.
I wouldn't have a problem with it if there had been genuine road car sales before the racer hit the track, but there weren't as far as I'm aware. |

Despite liking the G50 quite a lot and really liking the attitude of the Ginetta-Zytek guys I got to agree on AstonGeoff and geeteeone. GT4 should be restricted to converted real street vehicles, not specialbuilds like the G50. I kind of agree that it should be in the GT4 Lights instead.

DSC are reporting today that Rollcentre are back in British GT this year with 1 car, possibily 2 if drivers can be found. Wont be the full season though, just the dates that dont clash with the DSC. Still good news, I've always liked the mosler and it will be good to see it racing with the Ferrari's, Porsche's and Aston's.

Apparntly so, Martin Short talked to Stephane Ratel at the Autosport international show and Ratel thought about it. Now apparntly he has decided the car is allowed back in British GT, I dont know why, but it is certainly good news. IMO.

I have just had press release through saying that we will be saying that Team 48 will be racing this year in the British GT Championship with 2 Lamborghini Gallardos. The car will be run by Team Modena.
