Tickets for me today too. Monday only for me and the breakfast could be a life-saver as I could well be hung over still from the Saturday night.

Am I the only person who has dried out/defrosted enough to say what a cracking weekends racing that was? Big grids, close racing, good company, apart from the typical Bank Holiday weather, what more could you ask for? It was great to meet up with a few familiar faces I haven't seen for a while - Roll on Rockingham!

First time I have marshalled at Mallory Park for probably over ten years, enjoyed being back and seeing a few welcoming familiar faces. Well done to the chiefs upstairs for a slickly and timely run meeting (it started raining as we left the circuit), I look forward to doing a few more.

As the 'voice' on the end of the radio, can I say a big THANK YOU to you all for humouring me and making my job of keeping the meeting running speedily. a lot easier. The work in pushing cars out of the gravel was brilliant and saved me stopping races or using the Safety Car. Well Done and hopefully you enjoyed the free beer - courtesy of Rob Williams the CSCC Clerk of the Course.

Great weekend. Love those XJS's! Thanks for the beer Rob-shame it can't be done at Rockingham.

Only down side was on Sunday. While attending to a very groggy driver (under red flags) who had just had an almighty impact with the armco at post 6 (snapping a post in the process) looking up to see a Fiesta spinning towards us. Just got out of the way before he hit the car with the hapless driver-belts undone-still in the car. This was soon followed by a car running into the back of another at unabated speed!
Here's me thinking red flags mean STOP!

On the subject of red flags, it seems to be the done thing these days for a lot of drivers to give a red the same sort of respect as a waved yellow, i.e. slow down and be prepare to stop. (or in the case of the two jerks above-I used stronger words at the time- don't bother at all)

Hmm, two weeks, two 4 car wrecks. Doesn't do my reputation much good does it?

Mind you, Post 6 + wet track = sooner or later!

From a speccy, well done to you all on Sunday. It was flipping freezing in that wind. I've posted a few photos over in art and photography.
