Cool stuff. JPM is still first, with only 4 drivers to go! And both Fisico and Trulli are behind him. Let's see if he manages to keep Alonso behind him!

Good runs from Kimi, Fernando, Jenson and especially JPM. JV had a pretty strong run too. However am I the only one saddened by the Williams' pace? That definitely looks like engine power to me. Poor old Sauber.

Jenson Button will start the race from P2. His first sector was crap. If he had of got a good first sector he could have go pole. But I am very happy with P2.

Yeah, if Button gets P1 by the first turn and keeps alonso behind him I think Kimi can do it.

I think it will be Montoya's race to lose. He set a very quick time considering how early he went out. I am fairly confident that his first stint will be longer than Alonso's and Button's.
Kimi can make the podium, but if Alonso, Montoya, or Button start to run away in the first stint, I don't think that he can win it. It was interesting to see Villeneuve go so quickly, not so much compared to Massa, but rather to the likes of Coultard. Red Bull has had the advantage over Sauber for most of the weekend, and based on the time differential, I suspect that DC is running a fair bit heavier than Villeneuve. Podium prediction: Montoya-Alonso-Raikkonen. |

I hate biased commentators and presenters and Jim is one of those that shoves it in your face. 'GO JENSON GO'...us Brits aren't all Jenson fans.

Jenson winning this race would be a beautiful moment, especially after Thursday. Coulthard winning would be nothing short of miraculous, but I'd be delighted to see him get a great result, and it could easily be on the cards.
When I saw Sato's lap, my first thought was "running later and on equal fuel, Jenson can beat JPM's time", even though Brundle felt Jenson woulddo well to beat Taku. On overall pace I think McLaren are fastest, but it might need JPM to make a flyign start for them to really be able to put that to good use. Fisichella's lap was pretty abysmal, and didn't look to be caused by a heavy fuel load. I assume his weekly car problem isn't already developing? This was never going to be good for Williams, but they must've expected one car in the top 10, epsecially as the drivers split the strategies. |

I surely hope that Montoya is gonna make it to the podium this time. And hopefully he finishes 2nd with Alonso in 1st and Kimmi 3rd. That would be great! But well I think it is great anyway if Michael Schumacher just stays were he is now and does not reach the podium.

I can't see Button winning, even though he's starting on the front row. It'd be great for a British driver to win at Silverstone, doubly so because of the events of the last few days, but I think it'll probably be Alonso. It'll be interesting to see how Raikkonen does from 10 places back, bearing in mind he got 2nd from 13th last week. Fingers crossed for a race that's a bit of an improvement on last weekend.
