Motorsport participation survey
This has been posted in the racers' forum, but I think it's relevant to spectators as well, and I think more comments are needed from just about every corner of the sport:
The MSA, ACU etc are looking at widening participation in motorsport - see: http://www.msauk.org/site/wbs/news/V...262&category=0 As part of this there is a 5-minute survey at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=269173104860 |

I done that survey weeks ago and there's very little in it regarding Spectators, it's all about participation.

Everyone claims it is relevant to spectators but as above there is nothing in it that has the slightest thing to do with specatators!

Thought it sounded too good to be true that actuall paying spectators interests were catered for. |

Completed the survey but I doubt if I gave the answers they wanted.

This has to be one of the most eronius surveys ever canvessed. It's so completely NOT as advertised, as it has absolutely NOTHING to do with spectators whatsoever!

Flat12-Aircool. (great engine by the way). If you are a spectator you are one of the most valuable commodities in the sport. Surely you must have some opinion on the questions asked, if you do why not tell them.
If you think the survey is bad, tell them that as well. They need to get a balanced view from everywhere (good, bad or ugly, they all count) |

My annoyance is with people who keep introducing it to Threads and Forums that have nothing to do with Motorsport participation. Anybody might think they were on the Survey's payroll! |

It surprises me that you think spectators are nothing to do with motorsport participation?

And it should be pointed out that at the end of the survey there is the opportunity to e-mail the people with additional views! Make the most of an opportunity, you never know your voice might make a difference. One thing is certain, if you don't contribute you will not have a dogs chance of affecting change.

Well done; I knew someone would have been paying attention.
After all great minds think alike; it is just that some of us are slower than others. Jim Last edited by JimW; 13 Mar 2007 at 13:00. |
