Please will everyone in Oz encourage the V8 Supercar Championship to pay a visit to the pomms to show them what real super saloon racing is like..... for too long we have been fed a diet of girlie super touring car racing with smallish grids and little overtaking and a lot of primadona drivers who dont like getting their paintwork scratched.

Speaking as a "pomme" myself (never understood that nickname myself..oh well! ) personally would love to see the V8 Supercars around the Craner Curves of Donington or especially Thruxton (bring your Philip Island set up guys! )

I doubt it'd ever happen though....there are nearer places..it's a fair old trip just for one guest race, unless a Cart style "European swing" happens....

Yeah, let's take the V8s to Pom-land. Please! Maybe we could stick a couple of their drivers in some of our cars (NOT MATT NEAL) . No doubt we would beat them like any other sport - but hey - that's cricket ...

About the Aussie Racing Cars. The racing is terrific, but I can already see them out-pricing themselves. I know there are alot of standard parts in the cars, but there are only 50-odd in exsistance. Wait until there are 150 or 200. We'll need a National championship and seperate State championships. Can these little cars handy a big responsibility like that?

Well the formula fords have a national championship and a championship in each state so i see no reason why the Aussie Racing Cars couldn't. They are much cheaper and you still require plenty of skill to drive them quick!

And they don't have a V8- how can the Aussie Racing Cars be so popular?

I think they'll be even more popular when the 'Commodore' finally appears. I also wonder if a 'Magna' will be produced.

The ultimate silhouette class.

Who said Mitsubishi wouldn't fit in?

I think in the end the 40 Ford and FJ's should be for the not so serious races and the later model bodied cars for the Championship series.
