FIM Winners Game --> Donington

Eight, and more importantly, second last round of Summer Cup. Don't forget when this Cup ends in Germany, we will begin the Autumn Cup

Rules are:

----------------------------------------------

Object of the game:
You have to guess the winner. You can put one, two, three or four riders as winners.

Scoring:
If you put one rider and he wins, you get 4 points.
If you put two two riders and one of them wins, you get 3 points.
In case you put 3 names and one wins, you get 2.5 points.
If you choose to put four names, and one of them wins, you get 2 points.
If you fail to guess the winner, you get 0 points.

Time limit:
Guesses can be done until one hour before the first race (125, 250 or MotoGP, whatever it is). Usually it will be one hour before 125 race.

Remarks:
Every FIM GP three guesses can be entered: for 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP. Those are three differents games, so you can enter only one or two categories if you like.

Appart from the three classifications (125, 250 and MotoGP), I'll put a "global" classification adding all of them.

The key of the game is to predict the winner putting the least possible numbers of candidates. But if you put too few riders, you risk getting 0 points!

Example:

Let's suppose in Jerez you had put these guesses:
125 = Simoncelli, P.Nieto, Lai (you get 2.5 points for Simoncelli)
250 = Porto, Dovizioso (you get 0 point, you failed)
MotoGP = Gibernau, Rossi (you get 3 points for Rossi)

Good luck! (or, better said, good fun!)

I think I put a "n" more in thread title I hope the good old marcus can fix it before I get even more ashamed

With two round to go the situation is:

In 125cc Blue is the big favourite (10 points), only the unlikely Schummy (6.5) is in "strike" distance (4 points that is the maximum in one round).

About 250cc again Blue (12) leads but now with less advantage. SALEEN (11), Schummy (10) and Dani (9) are in touch.

MotoGP has Schummy (19.5) as leader even if he desesperately hopes more non-Rossi wins. Dani (16) is yet in touch.

In Total classification Schummy (36) and Bleu (34.5) lead, with Dani (28) and SALEEN (27) prepared to leap to the first position.

Maybe posibilities for an overall Cup podium are small for a number of players but, like in nTour of France, etape's wins are worthy and we can give beers to everyone who gets them! (No, I'm not obsessed with beers, it is just a easy "smiley" to use here!)

Uffff, almost forget to post the guesses!

125cc: Kallio, Pasini, Luthi, Simoncelli
250cc: Pedrosa, Lorenzo, Dovizioso
MotoGP: Rossi, Melandri, Gibernau

Stoner did not train very well, but he is my second best in the season.
In MotoGP I'm trying to defend my advantage in the classification...

It's one hour and a half for the race and it seems we are not going to have too many people. Bleu is asleep again!

What a pity! Bleu again guessed out of the time! (1 hour before first race) And he had got 2 of the winners... It's a pity because Bleu is one of the "title contenders" if not THE MAIN contender

Wet weather usually plays havoc with guesses, and this time it was not an exception. 125 and 250 were so difficult, except for the brilliant Dani who risked and won with Randy "Crashy" Puniet.

How Randy got at the end of the race, after thousands of semi crashes and an excursion in the countryside, is a mistery. Aspar's face in the race tells it all . Anyway two thumb ups for Dani! ... and a beer

In MotoGP the customized Rossi's win, except this time it was humiliating

I'm sorry but this category is becoming a bit boring (like the "worst" MSchumacher years in F1).

250cc:
Dani F 2.5

MotoGP:
Dani F 4

Schummy 2.5

Total:

Schummy 2.5
In the championship, in 125cc the absent minded (but superb player) Blue is almost the winner of the Cup, with only the tiniest of posibilities for Schummy.

In 250cc things are much closer, with Dani passing to 2nd very near of Bleu. SALEEN is also well positioned and again Schummy has a very marginal shot at it.

MotoGP presents the figth between Schummy and Dani, and this time the former has a likely hope to get something. Dani will have to do a wild guess to try it.

Regarding Total Championship, four people, Schummy, Dani, Bleu and SALEEN has mathematical chances for the Summer Cup. Schummy has 4 points advantage but he (me) is a bit "coward" guessing, so it is possible to him to lose it in the most pitiful way

I'm thinking about a modification for the last round.

The leader in each category has the opportunity to "copy" the guess of his/her main "oppositor" in order to secure the "title". So I have thought it would be more interesting if, in this last round, the contenders (four people), optionally, send their guesses to someone by PM and not in the public thread.

I have thought in someone=marcus because he cares about our little game and he is a permanent player. But the problem is marcus probably is busy in Ten-Tenths forum(s) and perhaps he lacks time. If someone (not involved in "titles") wants to be an alternative just in case marcus cannot be available, please tell us in this thread.

Contenders would be Bleu, Schummy Dani and SALEEN
(125cc:Bleu, Schummy)
(250cc:Bleu, Dani, SALEEN, Schummy)
(MotoGP:Schummy,Dani)
(Total:Schummy, Dani, Bleu, SALEEN)
