So it begins!
Heres to a long and happy season of WSBK! With lots of good wildcards (Not too good mind you, thank you Mr Byrne). And he's to the Stauffer brothers wildcarding and kicking some serious butt at the Island! |

Nieto was actually there or thereabouts in the first race but second race was nowhere.
Actually a lot of riders were quick early on such as Chris Walker, Nieto, Lanzi. But they did seem to fall back very easily. THe only guys in my book able to keep the pace were Yukio, Corser, the two Ducatis and Chili with maybe Pitt and Abe aswell, Haga was hopeless in the second race! |

Great display from Suzuki - any initial disadvantage from a lack of tyre testing was nicely cancelled out by starting the season on a new track. They look pretty strong right now. I was imrpessed by Vermeulen's efforts this weekend, considering his current illness and qualifying crash he did well to get those results out of the weekend. Neunkircher, Silva and Pitt were all hugely impressive as well. Bostrom will jsut have to forget about this weekend and hope for better ocne the bike is properly sorted - much as I#m not his biggest fan I don't really blame him for the lack of results.

agreed boots, is just one of those things. think toseland will be the same, he will go better on tracks he has a setup for.
Ben really is a talent and like you i am not a huge fan, think Griffiths could've gone fo someone younger like Ellison or Smart but maybe Hondae eased the way! |

I think the truth is that Ben is one of those moody racers like Biaggi who when they are in a good mood watch out, but when they arent feeling it might as well park it.
p.s. I do realise that ben didn't have his bike till late (he doesnt even have one in the wsb 'school' photo) but i still think what i said holds |
