2006 v8 supercar ADELAIDE race

Is there any trueth in the rumour going around about 2006 being the last v8 supercar event in ADELAIDE??????

No because V8 Supercars is the one and only Motor Racing series in Australia that includes ALL of Australia.

I hear a rumour that the company that is or owns Clipsal might be in a bit of bother, so that maybe what is behind the rumour. Hopefully a new sponsor could be found if required.

CLIPSAL is now a FRENCH owned company. The original GERAD family sold out about 2 years ago.....

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
according to a press release on the clipsal 500 site which is on South australian Govt letterhead

The Clipsal has been signed until 2015

Clipsal is now owned by Scnieder industries, and the previous owner was in the news in a serious way last week , because he is now on the board of the Reserve bank and he has been sending money to the carribean so he had a 150 mill tax bill.
