Where are all the Fford fans then? Is everyone quiet because they are all at Brands?!!
Clucas did it again ComTec, hailed as the team to beat this year - their drivers are 4th 5th 8th and 16th :cinfused: Races should be good tomorrow, if anyone can actually get in to watch the races |

Clucas did have a very good first race but the final was a bit of a nightmare for him!

I believe he had a spin or a slight accident during the race which put him much further down the finishing order than most expected.

Saw it on the pit wall telly...not 100% about this though.
Danielson and Clucas was having a fight for first first ten laps. When the safety car came out the second time Gaymor went past Danielson into Paddock for second place (during the safety car period). Needs to be said though that Gaymor looked the quickest car on the track. Gaymor had a really good restart and went straight past Clucas at paddock. Clucas had a slightly better exit and stayed on the inside on the run up to Druids. Dont no if he was squeezed by Gaymor or not but he braked to late and ran into the side of Gaymor and they both spun. Gaymor DNF and Clucas got up to 7th. Dont hold me to any of this =) Fastest lap to Yuya Sakamoto! Last edited by GM Man; 6 May 2003 at 14:41. |

Its great to see that you don't need to drive for a big budget team or have the latest bit of kit to win this year. [/B][/QUOTE]
it is the drivers with big balls and no cash option that go with small buget teams but some of those lads are better engineers and HAVE true dedication and are not out there to rip off the drivers but WIN races / championships |

Yes Medler, we are keeping our heads down working away at our first win this year! James Walker has been fast for us, setting a new lap record at Mondello and two podium finishes overall, Tom Kimber-Smith was quick in race two at Mondello with a 2nd but yes I know, no wins yet for Team JLR. While I am not happy about it I think it is good for the formula that other teams and manufacturers are winning this year. I believe the only teams to win a race last year were JLR and the factory team, this situation rather limits the options for new drivers as they look at which championship to enter to stand a chance of any success. And by the way, Clucas/Tony Mundy/Jamun/Mygale is clearly a very good combination but I hope we can make it a little closer for the rest of the year. Don't forget Barber won the first 7 races last year but it still went down to the last round between 3 drivers.

Keep up the good work guys, Formula Ford still provides some of the best racing to marshal and watch year after year. I take it you will all be at Brands for the Festival later in the year?
