59th Macau Grand Prix - FIA F3 Intercontinental Cup
couple of days ago Regulations of Macau F3 race has been published, while only 2012 F3 regulation car will be allowed for the event.Which make Macau F3 gonna be the only F3 event running in full F312 car on the field. Moreover,Charlie whiting will not be Race Director this year due to Austin GP,BTCC's Clerk of Course Bob Kettleboro are going to fill his place.
most certainly Daniel Juncadella are heading to his 3rd attempt and aim to be the second driver to defend Macau Race after Mortara.(Except he Claimed Masters win more important than Macau win). Looks like Marciello has also confirmed for the race too. Tom Blomqvist also confirmed his entry with his ATS F3 team euro international, which revealed by italiaracing last month.Despite the team not running in 2012 regulation car,a VW powered Dallara are expected. Alex Sims also confirmed for the race as he rejoin euroseries with T-Sport Threebond for meeting requirement. But it may not be the same package in macau as T-Sport never visited macau and Sims has done the same thing last year(driven motopark's car in BF3 then Tom's in Macau) at the beginning of 2012 signature hinted they are looking to make F3 comeback in macau race ,will the talks come true? |

Juncadella quoted tittle ''''misleading'''''
Dear Monkey Head
thank you very much for all the important information on your post. I work for the Macau Grand Prix Committee as on track co-commentator in Portuguese (alongside Veteran Expert Ian Titchmarsh and co-commentator in Chinese Lawrence Kwok) and your post is really an eye-opener and motivator. Among other things it gave the final push for my long due subscription of 10 Tenths and to go look at the original article from Autosport.com It is my opinion that the tittle chosen for the article is misleading: "Daniel Juncadella says his Masters of F3 win is more special than his Macau GP victory" as one can infer from the first paragraph of the piece: "(...) says his Masters of Formula 3 victory at Zandvoort last weekend outranks his Macau Grand Prix triumph of 2011 due to the heartbreak he suffered in last year's Dutch race." For full article please visit http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/101244 Many thanks and wishes of a sound and productive week ahead Best regards, Alfredo |

Exclusion of the older models on the other hand isn't. Is there any specific reason for this or do they just fancy having a reduced field? |

Full line up of new generation F3 cars for historic 30th Macau Grand Prix
Hi there
apparently Dallara's first new generation cars "have impressed teams, drivers and spectators in Europe and Japan" so states a presser released by the Macau Grand Prix Committee on August 9, at the time of publishing the 2012 SJM Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix Regulations. The same press release anticipates that "The new cars are expected to add to the thrill and excitement" of the event. Complete presser at: http://www.macau.grandprix.gov.mo/mg...d=4023&lang=en |

Dukes absence from Macau GP
Yep
something has got to be getting different in any shape or form later in the year, come the 3rd weekend of November. 2 of the 3 Pivots of the Grand Prix will be MIA for the first time combined: C Whiting as well as Motorcycle GP Maestro Mike Trimby though the reason's for Trimby's no show are of a very different nature http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/sp..._/R-EPI-133699 |

off topic question... is it true that Macau and New Zealand Grand Prix are the only two non F1 GP's in the world?

True
Macau and New Zeland Grand Prix are the only 2 not to make the F1 cut, out of those you mentioned Since we are on the off topic what was the main reason for Macau not to be considered even to a short list of potential candidates?

Right now only F3ES and BF3 use the latest spec of cars and engines, do you know what will happen with TOM's and Toda?
The Japanese championship has steady entries, but they have 0 experience with the new car. |

Dear All,
I am a rookie at 10th forum but I am a big fan for the Macau GP, I already booked the tickets for the event. It may be better if we round up some possible entries for the F3 race to make the discussion more convenient. In my opinion and other sources, the following drivers may have a chance to race in Macau this year: - Daniel Juncadella (last year's winner and this year's Master of F3 winner) - Raffaele Marciello (the greatest competitor of Daniel this year, Ferrary Academy student) - Carlos Sainz Jr. (raced for Signature last year, this year at Carlin is promising) - Jack Harvey (one of the British F3 title contender this year) - Jazeman Jaffar (one of the British F3 title contender this year) - Felix Serralles (one of the British F3 title contender this year) - Sven Muller - Michael Lewis - Pascal Wehrlein - Felix Rosenqvist - Ryo Hirakawa (Current leader of Japanese F3 series) For the "wild-card" entries, several drivers has its possibilities to join: - Conor Daly (he raced with Double R at this year's Master of F3) - Mitch Evans (the newly-crowned GP3 champion, raced in Macau with Double R last year) - Daniel Abt (the unfortunate GP3 runner-up, made a surprise performance on his debut at Macau in 2010, he raced in the ATS Formel 3 Cup round at Spa this year) - Alexander Sims (Raced in Macau many times, this year he raced in the Nurburging round of F3ES with a win) - Michael Ho (the local hero, must put an attention) Hope some other fans can help me to fill this possible blank space. |
