Halfords Team Dynamics Race Festival Donington
Halfords Team Dynamics Race Festival Donington 25th and 26th September,
2004 Halfords and Team Dynamics are linking up to sponsor one the most exciting race meetings of the UK season at Donington Park on September 25/26, when the UK's premier professional motor racing series, the British Touring Car Championship, will play out its explosive final title battle. Backed by a full support programme of racing, including the unique BTCC Masters race in which a pack of the series' favourite old boys will line up in a race for identical SEAT Cupras, the festival promises to have something to entertain all the family. In an innovative twist on traditional arrangements race team and international wheel brand Team Dynamics is backing an event in which its race cars will play a starring role. The Computeach Racing with Halfords Honda Civics, which it runs, have been among the most successful cars in the 2004 BTCC driven by Matt Neal and Dan Eaves. Now Team Dynamics, backed by its sponsor Halfords, is seeking to ramp up the entertainment and bring the Donington meeting to the masses. A demonstration from an RAF fighter plane; rally car passenger demos and a free concert featuring The Cheeky Girls will all be part of the meeting. And best of all Halfords and Team Dynamics are making all this available to a many more people with a series of top ticket offers. Team Dynamics has long been a crowd favourite in the BTCC, frequently running super-successful cars for Neal as the series' favourite privateer underdog against well-backed factory outfits. Now the current rules make it a little easier for private teams to compete against the full works cars and Team Dynamics are running two top-line, winning, cars for the first time in the outfit's most successful season to date. This is Halfords third year of sponsorship in the championship and its first year with Team Dynamics who are a major alloy wheel supplier to its 400 stores around the UK. Neal drove his 250th BTCC race at Brands Hatch recently and is delighted to be able to add a little more of the characteristic Team Dynamics and Halfords sparkle to the Donington Park event. "This is a fantastic way to give something back to the fans who support the BTCC and our team and a great way to end the season," said Neal. "Our marketing agency Spiderzone Ltd has worked day and night to present a whole host of exciting activities to support the weekend's racing." The thrilling extras on the bill at Donington will include a dramatic display from an RAF Tornado F3 and a display from a Subaru Impreza World Rally Car driven by Team Dynamics-backed double British Champion Jonny MiIlner. Once the racing's over there will be a free live concert and party to keep you at Donington. Quirky pop duo The Cheeky Girls headlines the concert. They've been among Team Dynamics' keenest supporters this year, appearing trackside at several events and have kept in close touch with Matt and Dan's successful progress throughout the year. Also on-stage will be The Joan O'Neill band of BTCC favourite Paul O'Neill's mum, who is also of course mother of former Spice Girl Mel C. To get you all to Donington, Halfords and Team Dynamics and Donington Park have arranged a number of tempting ticket promotions. Two for one ticket offers will be featured in 30 regional newspapers across the Midlands and also in Auto Express. You can also access the offers on-line at crash.net. The brilliant value offers will get two people into Donington for £15* or one for £10*. Don't miss it! www.crash.net/btcctickets *Donington Park Paddock transfers £5 extra available at the event. |

MILNER SET TO ENTERTAIN BTCC CROWDS AT DONINGTON PARK
Motorsport fans attending the Green Flag British Touring Car Championship finale at Donington Park later this month are in for a special treat with the announcement that two times British Rally Champion Jonny Milner will be making an appearance. The Team Dynamics driver will be thrilling the anticipated vast crowds in his Subaru Impreza WRC as he puts on a demonstration in the 300bhp machine which will include plenty of skids, spins and doughnuts amidst a plethora of noise, speed and inevitable tyre smoke! “I’m really looking forward to it” said the 35 year old from Huggate near York. “It will be good to have a drive without the pressures of an actual rally and I’m sure that the regular race fans will love seeing something a bit different.” Milner is scheduled to be on track on Sunday 26th September from 13.05 for the fifteen minute show as part of the lunchtime attractions and is sure to be a hit with fans according to Rimstock plc’s Richard Tait-Harris: “Motorsport fans will simply love the display which Jonny is expected to put on in his Team Dynamics Subaru. We have a presence in the actual BTCC races so this will embrace the whole motorsport spectrum and allow enthusiasts to see a different discipline at the same time.” As well as the three-race championship decider, a full programme of support races will be on offer plus various other attractions including an RAF Tornado Air Display, a funfair, an evening pop concert featuring The Cheeky Girls and the inaugural BTCC Masters spectacle. Donington Park is situated on the A453 in Leicestershire, adjacent to East Midlands Airport. |

Sunday only
Qualifying Saturday I think costs £8 from Donington Park, our sponsorship of the event has created the following: Sunday only: Two tickets for £15 or one single ticket for £10. Basically Team Dynamics and Halfords are supporting the cost of tickets to the event so that you guys can have an a great day out. Kids under sixteen get in free so a family of two adults and two or three children can go to the final rounds of the BTC for £15, GREAT!!!! If you go to crash.net/btcctickets or bigpockets.co.uk, you can buy online, you can't buy the special offer on the day. If you wish to go into the Paddock though Donington are charging £5 per person. |
