Ryo28 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
How many points will Minardi score this season?

Im a big Minardi fan (and eternal optimist ) but i still can't see them having a better season than last year. Heres hoping that the new engine rules will create a few more races of high attrition...

So, how many points will Minardi score? Place your bets now...

the mighty minnows normally only get little, if any pre-season testing, and this year, they have had a good few laps under their belt, that along with a driver lineup that has a chance to get used to the car before Australia and a known engine package, I think their relaibility will pay dividends! (queue a dual blow up on the grid...!)

Minardi won't get any points this year - all the other teams are more reliable now, the new engine rule has forced them to make more durable engines (even the hondas have been staying together!).

Add to that the fact that Minardi have the weakest driver lineup by some distance I really can't see them beating anybody.

i'd really like them to get a couple of points this year, they could qualify off the back, especially if other blow engines and get dropped back 10 places.

It would take freakish circumstances for them to score points. Every otehr team seems better-prepared, with faster and more durable equipment and vastly better drivers. Even if they have done more testing than last year, it's still far less than anyone else, and neither Bruni nor Baumgartner have much experience to offer.

I say 3. Bruni will get 7th and Zsolt 8th place. Other will come in Monaco and other in wet race.

The competition is going to be very stiff in the midfield this year. Too many people will have to drop out of races for it to be possible. Maybe a pile-up. Otherwise no, not even close. They may be lucky enough to give Jordan some competition this year.

They probably need mass Annihilation at the first corner of a wet race, but I voted 2 points.

I'm thinking no points again, but I do believe there are 2 teams on the grid that they can beat more than once, the disorganised Jaguar team, and the late arriving Jordan team.

Both those teams will be solid back markers more than once this season.

Sorry to the optimists - it's gonna be zero.

And if they prove me wrong I'll be more than happy.

It'll probably be zero. You can pretty much rule out Zsolt "the bolt" for points!

Bruni will be good, but will the car allow it?

The thing is though, before 2003, a Minardi was quite often found in seventh or eighth. With the current points system and the possible reduction in the reliability of the cars, they may get lucky. I hope so.

Zero points is my vote. This team, this car, these drivers... no hope. But it would be nice if they they prove me wrong.

minardi has an awful driver lineup this year.

in preceding years they at least signed one driver out of the two based on talent.

but this year...

all appears completely hopeless!

none, I tend to think they'll be even further adrift than they were last year.

It will need a race of high attrition for Minardi to score any points but in such a race Bruni, say, could sneak a point.

I can't see Minardi scoring any points this year unless we have a race of high attrition somewhere along the way.

I voted 5 or more but to be honnest..I even think they are going to challenge Schumacher and Montoya! They got the best car, engine, and drivers so I don't see any limitations to the greatness they will reach this year..

Bruni has been signed on talent, make no mistake. When he was their third driver late last season he routinely outpaced Kiesa, and occasionally Jos as well. Zsolt won't be up to the job though.
