F1 2008 Round 7 - Grand Prix du Canada, Ile De Notre Dame (06/06/08-08/06/08)
Given that Knowlsey delegated me the task after Monaco, I think I'll post my musings now
So, fresh from the urban warfare in Monte Carlo, F1's gone transatlantic to Montreal, Quebec. This is the 30th Canadian Grand Prix at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on the Ile De Notre Dame. Last year we witnessed Robert Kubica's horror smash, fortunatly escaping shaken but not stirred - a testament to the way the cars are built now. Currently, he is in fourth place in the Driver's championship. Lewis Hamilton has now seized the lead in the World Driver's Championship, due to Raikkonen getting no points due to colliding with the Force India of Adrian Sutil at Nouvelle Chicane. This circuit could be interesting. Last year it was McLaren domination, although we saw some catching up from Ferrari at Monaco in the twisty stuff. Drivers standings

I do like Canada, it's turned up a few good races over the years. Is it too much to hope that it might rain a bit?

Even though I know Kimi has had some bad races as well, it amazes me with as bad as Lewis had it there for awhile, that he's in the points lead.

Those webcams are the right ones, the other ones are for Quebec City rather than Montreal. Anyone know where Ile De Notre Dame is there? |

Latest Weather : http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/caqc0363
Showers all 3 days. This is one of the more reliable weather sites - although this is racing, so anything can happen. |

US based weather channel (http://www.weather.com/outlook/trave...yLink_business) says 30-40% chance of rain on Fri, Sat and Sun so who knows. Keeping my fingers crossed for some rain to get Sutil back up to the points again, and Kimi to NOT hit him.

Maybe he won't overtake under yellow flags this time either...
