[CTCRA19R3] CarSales 2019 TCRA Round 3, Tailem Bend-12-14 Jul
At round 3 now...
A more sticky driver line up.. Some cars needing big love to make this event intact.. or perhaps they will be replaced. A few extra cars in sheds now that could crank the field up to beyond 25 if they all landed in the same place at the same time. Who will be competitive at this event? |

Getting in early with this one hey GTR?
Must be excited by what we have seen so far in TCR. It is a breath of fresh air on the local racing scene for sure. It will be interesting to see how many people make the treck out into the semi desert area where The Bend is located, good crowds at SMP and PI however. Will the Alfa and Hyundai continue to be the quick ones or will the VW prove more nimble around the twists and turns of the bend? |

Could be further BOP adjustments in the offing, however this may not have much of an effect on the Alfa, given that only one of them is consistently quick.
Hoping to see some improvement in driving standards, and perhaps some adjustment to the procedure to alleviate cold tyre first lap drama. |

Might depend on how many of the free entry passes used at PI are handed out for Tailem Bend but ultimately, the bend is I think closer to Adelaide than PI is to Melbourne so they might do alright.

Faaaaaast track where drama could very well be costly, especially as teams are still getting their head around rear tyre temperature and car setup.

Improved Production with a healthy level of lunacy:

Chassis switch at Wall Racing.
John Martin will move over to the car Tony D'Alberto drove for the first part of the season, whilst the brand new car he shunted at PI is still in the process of being repaired. D'Alberto will move into a recently-landed brand new chassis. |

Presumably, the ASM/GRM Alfa has been successfully repaired.
The 'factory' Hondas to run a tweaked livery this weekend. The Honda set to be piloted by Jordan Cox, will largely run the livery KCMG uses in the WTCR, as that's where that particular chassis was originally destined to end up. |

And just like that, new boy Jordan Cox goes fastest in a wet first session, a session highlighted (lowlighted) by an aquaplaning Will Brown centre punching James Moffat, putting Moffat in doubt for the remainder of the weekend.
Ingall in ninth. |

I know it's down to BOP and a bit contrived but how good does 7 manufactures in the top 10 look:
1. Honda Civic Type R 2. Alfa Romeo Giulietta 3. Hyundai i30N 4. Volkswagen Golf GTI 5. Honda Civic Type R 6. Audi RS 3 7. Alfa Romeo Giulietta 8. Subaru WRX 9. Audi RS 3 10. Holden Astra Everyone is welcome to their opinion but IMHO its way better than Ford Mutant vs Opel Insignia. |

Adam Morgan in TCR Europe has dumped his Megane in favour of a Curpa this weekend.
Recent news suggested that Vukovic needs to up their investment, and that GRM wishes to get involved. |
