Name your Wheels!
If those who still regularly use another Le Mans-based forum will forgive me (as this is a regular theme there.....)
What exotic machinery will you be taking to Le Mans this year? What should we be looking out for on the roads from Calais, Le Havre, Caen and so on? To start in an entirely unsuitable fashion , the Tourists will be in a minibus of some description!! Last edited by Aysedasi; 28 May 2002 at 20:54. |

I used to be very anti-BMW but then when I stopped to think about their supplying Morgan and McLaren with motors, I began to like them.
Oh,yes, that and my brother's 535iSE! Yes I know not exactly exotic but great to travel in, plus it knows the way itself and only needs steering and throttle input! In my dream world my Lancia Delta That Is No Longer With Us would be Weapon of Choice |

Unfortunately, if I used a purple Porsche 962 Cab for the PQ, it will only be my job white Laguna for the race (four places available !)...
We'll park at Blanc this year (alsmost stayed in the mud in the Bleu last year !)... |

We will be going down in this.
She's done the trip every nearly year since 1990. She missed out in 1992 when we didn't go and in 2000 when she was poorly. That year we went down in an old XJ40. We loved the air con that year, but it wasn't quite the same! In every sense Jaguar's got us to Le Mans and now we're hooked. FG, tell your friend to get his finger out - there's no better way! I like that about the TVRs - their owners seem to use them! There are always loads down in the camping sites. It's great!

Quite why this appies to the cult car of the 90s remains shrouded in mystery! The name is very common in the UK, less so elsewhere. In the states the marque is "Sooby"; -- even worse! The name is also almost exclusively used for Impreza Turbos. The other models don't really qualify. FG |

A Scooby Doo movie is in the making, btw - www.scoobydoo.com - the van looks suspiciously like a Bedford... this has nothing to do with Le Mans but hey, it's my lunch break! |
