SILVERSTONE GP - Where are YOU playing?

I thought this might be a good place to let other ten-tenthers know where you have been posted for the Grand Prix. It would be cool if there were several of us on the same post(s)
Don't forget any more suggestions also for the "Social" on the Saturday night!

Well I'll start the ball rolling....
I'm flagging Pits Centre - 2nd time in four years - just how cr*p is that!
It means I get to hold a yellow flag for three days.

I would tell you but I don't know yet, as a newbie and never having marshaled at Silverstone before I expect I will be stuck out where nothing is going to happen!!

Observer would I be right in assuming you are a Silverstone regular/BRDC marshal as no-one else has their paperwork through yet? (If you have the inside line maybe you can tell me where I'm working this year!!!)

Claire,

For my first Grand Prix I was posted to Copse Outside...Brilliant! Gary Dearns and the lads made my weekend one to remember and I have made many friends at Silverstone as a result of that weekend. You may be surprised at where you get posted!

Stephen, no I am not a Silverstone regular (Remind me, isn't it just off the M1?) and I'm not a BRDC marshal (Anymore)
I called the MSA out of curiosity and the nice lady told me there & then!

Thinking now though I wish I hadn't bothered.

Should just about be within the skills range of an observer - there not being enough time left to retrain you in the art of holding the blue!

Enough of the chatter.

Whats the score with the 'social' !?

Presume we work on the basis that he / she who has raised most posts on the msg board gets the first round - then so on down the line to the newcomers .... possibly, maybe if anyone still standing !!

neat trick observer (BTW I know you could'nt be this smart )

1)clone yourself (ie new 10/10ths identity)
2)reset your post count to zero
3)have brilliant idea that highest post count buys first round

where's EP when you need her
no, seriously, where is she?

Rest assured, observer ain't that smart; in fact, he knows jamo, but doesn't know who he is......if that makes sense.

Probably why you went on to be an observer...

no sign of mine yet - maybe posty'll bring it today.
Just one thing worrying me at the mo, I notice Fridays snoozathon (sorry Test session) starts at 8.30.
Does this mean we have to be present on post 1 hour before anything happens 0730 or earlier start with a 1900 timetabled finish - Gawd give me strength

My apologies in advance to my IO (those that know me will understand) esp if it's the bloke from Stowe 2001 - one of my better Friday morning efforts.
