Here's one to get you started! This topic may be better served in a different forum in the long run, but we'll leave it here for the time being to see what reply's you get. ST |

That's a very spooky picture Adam, just think of what changes that building has seen.

Absolutely Damon. Why are shots of those Reims pits so evocative?

Just looked at all the rest of those pics Adam.
Fabulous. Simply magical. I can almost feel the shiver running down my spine right now. I can only imagine what it must have been like sitting up in those grandstands as the cars passed at full chat. It'll make really make me think the next time I take my trusty Eagle out at Reims in GPL........ Last edited by Aysedasi; 15 Jan 2004 at 12:54. |

strad, Damon, Aysedasi. It is a wonderful place and all the emotions you describe were there.
The odd thing was it was very quiet. The road in front of the pits was closed due to the area around what was the final corner being made into a roundabout. However in your mind you could hear a 250F blasting down the straight on full chat. Magic. |

It is very easy to find. We left all our maps in blighty and still found it! Although it did involve a phone call to a mate to clarify what the corners where like

Yes. The hairpin no longer joins the long straight (since it was made into a duel carriageway). The final corner is no more too.
However much of the rest of the circuit (both circuits very old and old) is still there. For info on both these versions I shall (again) reference the racing circuit website http://www.racingcircuits.net/France/Reims.html |
