2010 Enduro Wildcard Entries
According to
 ...it seems there will be as many as 5 wildcard entries in the enduros this year 5!! Are there 5 teams in the development series with a) Budget, b) Drivers c) Budget to put a competitive program at Bathurst together, without compromising the development series round at the same event?

Don't think many of the development series teams are overly flush with funds so this will be an issue, imagine a team would need to fork out in excess of $100k to have half a chance of making it to the finish.
Of the drivers who have raced in the development series this year, Kelly, McConville, Morris, Moffat, Owen and David Russell all have drives with main series teams. Recall reading that Sonic have no intention of competing in the enduros this year. Possible entries could be: Paul Morris: Jack Perkins / Troy Bayliss Stone Brothers: Shane McLaughlin / Triple F: Paul Fiore / Todd Fiore Matthew White: Matthew Hamilton / Ant Pederson Ben Eggleston: Ben Eggleston / Greg Murphy: Daniel Jilesen / Geoff Emery Adrenalin Motor Racing: Drew Russell / Aaren Russell Jay Motor Sport: Nick Percat / |

Don't think Troy Bayliss will go near a supercar again!
The about face in thinking from the supercar bunker is amazing. A few years ago, we needed to cull the field down to 28. or fewer if possible. Now, we need to build it up, it seems. In a few years, we'll be at 55. Goodness, that rings a distant bell... Having said that, it's hard to see 5 Fujitsu teams with the resources to do the race. It's hard to see two for that matter.. |

Add the Russell's to the list of possibles, and they have a car they can use that isn't the worst ever to grace the mountain (though there are better)

Interesting to read in AA that some of the problems with the Sieders enduro wildcard entries related to funding, and sourcing engines.
In the world of parlay, the logical consolidation of efforts would have seen Mr Russell, and his ex-SBR/BJR engine fleet walk up to the Sieders BF, with the spares packages both teams have, and run a car for D.Sieders/D.Russell. You would have to imagine that this would be a relatively solid entry, certainly more competitive than either car's original choice of co-pilots. Opportunity lost?
