I have just borrowed a book out of the library, called Formula One Uncovered and written by Derick Allsop. Itis a book about paddock life in the 1998 season, and well worth reading.
Anyway, my question is this: does anyone know what type of car (and as much other info as you can think of) is pictured on the front cover above the main title. It isn't a F1 and I'm guesing its an indycar, but i'm not sure. Unfortunatly i don't have a scanner so I can't show you the picture. Thanks. |

I have actually heard of that book, but never seen the front cover!!
 Does it look like an F1 car?? Cos if it does it could be f3000 f3 or indycar!!

I am not sure, but the wheel base is a lot like that of a Champ Car (Indycar).

With the orange and blue paint scheme, and the obvious appearance of a Indy/Champ Car, to me, it looks like the #16 Alumax Bettenhausen Champ Car of 1994 or 95, when they ran year-old Penske chassis. The car was driven then by Stefan Johansson.
