times are around 3 or 4 seconds off the back end of the f1 guys in practice yesterday. interesting to see how the fuelled up f1 guys times in qualifying will compare....but due to crappy f1 qualifying rules we will have to wait until sunday morning for that! at least the fia have decided to get rid of that sunday session!

if only eurosport show gp2 qualifying too!!

traffic is always gonna be problem so maybe thats what halted ryan sharp. he is atleast an equal to his team mate so i see no reason what pla is up there and not ryan. as for lopez maybe traffic again. there was some crashes in the practice and the quali. piquet and viso crashed. lopez, like piquet and viso have a history of being very fast but also of being serial spinners/crashers. monaco doesnt take spinning lightly....all speculation though...

Thought Pantano would be at 'sharp' end too?

Bruni looking like potential champion now he's got to grips with the thing...his performances have been upward curve.

Lopex was my (secret) tip for title, esp after strong 2nd race at Barca. However, Renault might start to get bit worried about him if he doesn't start getting consistent!

Piquet clashed with Artam at Mirabeau and broke suspension.
Viso clashed onto the barriers and spun.
López had broken gearbox and had no time to repair it and run. The team even though to use Fauzy's car but the session finished before.

Álvarez will start 12th, at least one good new.

Fauzy actually had time to qualify, he will start 17º; but when López had his car with broken gearbox team members though to give him the car of his coequipier, but when they tried to do it the session finished.

Wow! The Pole time for GP2 is actually faster than the first practise times for Albers in the Minardi F1 car, and only 1.1 secons slower than Karthikeyan in the Jordan! Second practise is a little differnt with the pole time for GP2 being 2.5 seconds slower than the slowest time of F1 being that of Albers once again. I wonder though, will the times in qualifying from F1 be slower from people like Minardi than the pole time from GP2? I ask this because they will be carrying much heavier fuel loads for sure than what they have been. Good to see the GP2 cars actually beating some F1 cars times, even if it is only the 1st free practice.

By the way, whats the deal with Eurosport? No live coverage tommorow on Eurosport or Eurosport 2 if what their website is saying is true. Although there is coverage at 20:00 tommorow, and live coverage of the 2nd race on Sunday on Eurosport 2. Dosent sound good does it.

Saleen, that you said is a bit confusing, because Monaco won't have Race 2.
Delayed coverage tomorrow must be of the lone GP2 race of this weekend.

Ah yes my mistake. Sorry. Also just re looked at the Eurosport website and there is now indeed LIVE coverage of the race on Eurosport 1 at 13:30. http://www.eurosport.com/home/pages/...rs1_ven0.shtml

according to those qualifying times one would think that both hi-tech piquet cars qualifying times are outside the 107% - surely they will let them start the race

i seen the video of what happened to piquet. artam was trying to get out of his way but he was too late in doing so. even still i have no sympathy for him at all. he deserved it. and its clear to me that, despite the broken suspention he tryed to drive into artam right after words. piquet thinks he is bigger than the sport and for that i see great pleasure in his failure to impress so far this season. especially after last year when he did to british f3 what chelsea did to the premiership - a 2 year bottomless pit of cash assault for the title...

I don't see any GP2 cars on my Eurosport channel...

They look much thinner, with less wheels, oh thats it, they're bicylcles...

Schedule for Monaco.

As shown, GP2 is on later and not as the Eurosport website has been showing.

Ok, great, thats a relief! I thought I was missing it! So is it gonna be shown live on eurosport at that time? I looked on their website and it said it should have been on now, but there is cycling instead.

If it is not shown live in tv, do you know of a website with live timing?
