Maybe it's Fernando Alonso, given that he's making himself as popular as a fart in a spacesuit in F1. Someone said he'll be in a Ferrari in 2009 - damn right ... a A1 one!

I just get an error message on that website when I click on the link.
Great news if it's true. Spain would not struggle to find drivers considering how many have been floating around at GP2/WSR kind of level in recent years. Considering Alonso is destroying Piquet perhaps a more likely scenario is seeing Piquet back for A1GP Team Brazil at some point... |

Great news - Spain have so many good young drivers that could be effective in A1GP. I would personally want to see driveless Borja Garcia get the seat if the team happens.

Isn't it Alfonso D'Orleans owner of the A1GP Spain Franchise? If it is the case then it will make more sense that RE will run the team ... and it would not surprise me to NOT see a Driver like Borja Garcia driving for them

I've only just decided to speak my mind on this thread, so if the drivers have been chosen, or which drivers are to be considered, please tell tell. Bottom line from me is, I say it should happen.

My point of View was if RE is gonna run A1GP team Spain , i would be surprised to See Borja Garcia drive for them as last time Garcia drove for RE he left the team in not the best terms...
Maybe then we could see Javier Villa driving for them as i am not sure if he would consider to race one more season in GP2 (2009) MAybe that would also explain the reason why RE did not enter GP2 Asia , as they were already thinking about this new project but all of that is just suppositions |

At the moment Borja Garcia is linked with Sevilla FC Team in Super League.
And of course , I am very sure , Borja will not drive never more for RE. |

If A1GP Spain is going to happen (and it will be decided within the 2 next weeks), it will be run by a team based at Martorell, which currently is running in the WTTC. Team name: S....d
