BillyT should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Back in the Kart

Had my first test yesterday. We had mixed conditions, wet at start, dry at end. Although we had a crowded track(30+) and LOTS of yellows i managed a 48.12 round Buckmore Park, Under 2seconds slower then the fastest time set by a lighweight regulers.

Considering i'm a heavyweight and it was my first time out in a TKM. Not being big headed i think I did quite well. Can't wait for the first race now on the 27th Febuary.

Nice one billy. With that sort of time you should go well in a race and soon find yourself mixing it in the midfield mayhem! Great fun

......and it didn't!!! lmao

It's a right mess, thanfully only cosmetic discolouring after a little excursion! It snowed.... great for getting used to a new more powerful kart.

Bloody freezing day, my hands are really saw and typing and texting really hurts. The day was getting better and better until i got too cocky while chasing Ashley Beales and i over cooked it through turn two, under estimated the power of the engine and went off the track at quite a high speed in to the biggest swamp in all of suffolk!!! As i came off the tarmac and down the little hill the bumps ment my visor flicked up a little and as i slammed in to the water and mud filled pit a whole wall of water submerged my kart and me!! i got a whole throat full of mud and water, probably now got worms!! and i couldnt see anything as my eyes got muddy water in. I got out and couldn't believe the mess of my 'nice new' kart!! It had actually sunk!!! The floor tray and bottom of the seat were under the mud. The session ended at that point and the marshals pulled the kart out and i drove it back to the pits, one of the team managers found it highly amusing! Must say though, i did laugh , either that or cry!!!

Now i have a lot of cleaning up to do

First race of the year for me at Buckmore next Sun. Having a go at the Club100 sprints after a year of doing enduros--think it might be a bit of a culture shock...

Main target has to be to avoid that new kerb at Cafe, I guess.

Looks like i wont be racing on Saturday after all. 1. My license still isn't back and my mum wont let me race because i'm having an eye problem occuring again that started last year.

Good news though, heard a rumour from one team that the race has been cancelled as the Ambulance crew are too busy, and the race my be put back until next Saturday! In which case i should *hopefully* be able to take part!

Had a crap day at fulbeck today. Two 10ths, one 11th and 13th in the final. Stalled at the start of the 2nd heat from last on the grid. Spent all day about 0.7 off the (lap record setting) pace of the NKF, quite ****ed off, thought I'd be well up there..

hmm

Am racing in the Lightweights category this year; although, having lost a stone in the past month to food poisoning, I might struggle to lead myself up to 74kgs...

Here's to a bit less snow at Rye House

Bad luck Alex. Was that your first outing in a new class or were you in ICC last year?

Is Rye the next Club 100 race? Hope you both get on track this time!

Ours has been cancelled alltogether now so there will only be two winter series rounds. i have to wait until Easter Monday, at least i'll have another practice session to get used to the kart though

It was my 1st outing in that class. First time I've ever run Dunlop SL4's, and my 1st visit to Fulbeck for 3 1/2 years, but still I didn't think that that gap would be 0.7, more like .3 or .2 or something..
