2016 Rally Masters Show (Moscow, Russia)

Hopefully, this kind of a thread does not break the forum rules for posting pictures and links to own web sources.

On April, 23 Moscow hosted the sixth annual racing event called Rally Masters Show. Even though in previous years we have had more world-famous names (Markko Martin, Toshi Arai, Mark Higgins and others) and this year's list among the top contestants included basically just Russian WRC and ERC drivers (Evgeny Novikov, Alexey Lukyanyuk and Nikolay Gryazin), the event holds its good place in a local schedule. A short non-championship race is held right in one of Moscow parks on 1980 Olympic premises (bicycle road) and attracts a good number of public being absolutely open for people to come, see the cars, chat with the drivers for free.

Nice It looks like an interesting event - kind of similar to 'Rallyday' over here I guess, but the stage the cars run on looks better than just doing laps of Castle Combe (it really doesn't suit rally cars). Are there static displays as well as the cars out on the stage?

Hi!

It really is an interesting event where people can get really close to cars and crews involved (given that there have been no rallies near Moscow during the last years). The track is a great one as well - it lays through the park and can have a number of configurations (not totally different, but still). As for the static display, probably there is not enough space to set up a full-scale static display, but this time a number of private classic cars (not racing ones) were there and they were given a lap around the track in the meantime, while the participants had a break.

Rallyday looks like a bigger event, with some additional events taking place simultaneously (I see the '4x4 zone' and exhibition listed) and, historically, with more significant cars present.
