Channel 4's WRC coverage up for BAFTA
.... I kid you not!!, and it's not April 1st but apparently the C4/ISC coverage from the Safari is up for a BAFTA award
See http://www.wrc.com/en_GB/News/2003/0...3_WRCBAFTA.htm I really hope they don't win; how smug is Desborough going to be if they do. |

Quote:"I think it is testament to the huge amount of effort put in by the whole team – the ISC team and the Channel 4 team – and to get a BAFTA nomination in our first year is just fantastic," said Chrysalis TV's Neil Duncanson. "It's a team effort; Channel 4's production team rely on the ISC team – they produce the core pictures then the Channel 4 presentation team tailor it to their own markets. So it's a great joint effort. Both teams are Chrysalis teams, so for us it is a double whammy."
Ok, while the coverage may not be that bad, I may even say its good - certainly better than British Eurosport's version: if their putting that much effort into it why put all the shows out at like 12 midnight to 1am or something like that? - having to play second fiddle to cricket and another english example of how to lose at cricket (a game we invented incidentally). |

I do like their coverage but the sooner they get rid of Jeremey Harft the better. He should be working for Heat mag or something. Inane questions, sensationalist reporting. I knwo it has to be glam med up a bit but asking a guy who has just retired how he feels is a bit dumb and obvious. Even I know that and all I have done is a few reports for MN. Come on guys get professional or get someone in who is
