I find it odd that he and his team are having their best run for a long time.. that he would want to give it away.... maybe the loss of the Ferrari program is a problem... |

maybe he cant handle losing all his fans after drilling Car 1 into the netherlands at Winton! sorry to pump up another forum, but if you can go find the óde to john bowe'on conrod you'll wet yourself! not too many flattering remarks about his efforts around the place. how about another angle - he slots in at FPR - fits nicely with his work at FPV??!!

I would be amazed if JB did retire at the end of the year, but still, stranger things have happened. Wouldn't it throw BJR's plans into disarray, seeing as young Andy is seemingly being primed to take over his uncle's seat at the end of next year?

Not much chance of the retirement situation. And as far as BJRs plans, Maybe Bowe out would suit there plans more than destroy... Andrew obviously has the talent to mix it, BJ probably has a few years left. So if Bowe does stay, Andy may be warming up the Konica seat again..

The Guy could still put it on pole at Bathurst this year.
As you are only as good as your last race he is still running rings around his Boss, & a few younger blokes. But then again you need to know when to hold then & when to fold them, I guess PB will be 2 secs of the pace at Bathurst this year but still goood PR. But He could well start his own team with Not so- Again ! |

Here is one from left field, I reckon Bowe will stay where he is until retirment, then move into a role behind the scenes at BJR. He has a lot of technical experience.
Don't forget that JB & BJ are great mates. Look they even have opposite initials. Last edited by Chronicle; 5 Aug 2004 at 21:58. |

How about bringing him back to DJR to partner SJ. Johnson & Bowe in the Shell Fords, now that brings back good memories to a long suffering DJR fan.

John Bowe is a great chassis sorter... if you can get used to cars set up the way he wants to drive them.

What I would love to see in Supercars is both Mr Natural Talents go head to head and help to develop a younger driver each in team before they hang up the helmet.
Who am I talking about....John Bowe, obviously, and Gentleman Jim Richards! Gentleman Jim might be a wise choice for developing the FPR car in the recently vacated Lowndes seat....the team is even in his locale! |

If he does 12 months he'd walk out with a golden handshake.

Noise from places high and mighty suggests that a person(s) outside the BJR operation, perhaps coveting the driving role of Mr Bowe at BJR, has been stirring up these incorrect rumours.

I think it all started when Brad had a chat with CL about a driving position.
