FIM Winners Game --> Turkey

It is strange to see the circus going from Australia to Turkey in just a few days. It is one of those misteries of racing schedules, why there is not a gap instead of a gap between Turkey and Valencia? B-x

Anyway this is the second last round! Bleu, BOTTY and Schummy are leading the classifications and this is the second last chance to amend that!

Try to win the awesome Autumn Cup and be a legend at the same level as Mike the Bike, Ago, the Martian, Fast Freddie, Il Dottore, Poggiali and Bleu. (Be careful with remarks, moderators are watching).

Rules are:

----------------------------------------------

Object of the game:
You have to guess the winner. You can put one, two, three or four riders as winners.

Scoring:
If you put one rider and he wins, you get 4 points.
If you put two two riders and one of them wins, you get 3 points.
In case you put 3 names and one wins, you get 2.5 points.
If you choose to put four names, and one of them wins, you get 2 points.
If you fail to guess the winner, you get 0 points.

Time limit:
Guesses can be done until one hour before the first race (125, 250 or MotoGP, whatever it is). Usually it will be one hour before 125 race.

Remarks:
Every FIM GP three guesses can be entered: for 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP. Those are three differents games, so you can enter only one or two categories if you like.

Appart from the three classifications (125, 250 and MotoGP), I'll put a "global" classification adding all of them.

The key of the game is to predict the winner putting the least possible numbers of candidates. But if you put too few riders, you risk getting 0 points!

Example:

Let's suppose in Jerez you had put these guesses:
125 = Simoncelli, P.Nieto, Lai (you get 2.5 points for Simoncelli)
250 = Porto, Dovizioso (you get 0 point, you failed)
MotoGP = Gibernau, Rossi (you get 3 points for Rossi)

Good fun for everybody!

marcus: don't put Pedrosa at your peril!

My guess:
125cc: Luthi, Kallio, Pasini, Faubel
250cc: Pedrosa, Angelis, Stoker
MotoGP: Rossi, Melandri, Gibernau
I'm losing my patience with Sete as winner, but... let him another go.
I wanted to put Aoyama but I'm going to risk a little bit (c8

BOTTY:
125cc: Luthi
250cc: Pedrosa, Angelis
MotoGP: Rossi, Gibernau

I figure it's going to be either Luthi or Kallio who wins it, Talmasci won't make the same mistake twice...

Nice to see two new winners today. Shame that Kallio crashed, that might have effect to my picks.

No one could predict di Meglio, it is very rare that no one picks winner in one race. I picked a surprise win in Donington earlier in the season, was the only one back then.

I perceive a bit of sadism

At the beginning of the season I dreamed this game was going to be a serious and responsible game (no!) but now I see this has become a pool of sharks and a cross of bitter words

Well, ok, here are the results!

125 again left us with a stupid face , Meglio was too much to predict. In 250 the sophomore bestfit justified again his alias and got a 4 with Stoner (who surprisingly only crashed in qualifying ). The demise of Rossi caused many zeros, those who wanted to believe in Melandri got the points.

Globaly, Saleen and marcus won with Bleu very close in third place. The most shocking fact was BOTTY got a nice, beatiful, lovely ZERO Positronic brains never will be a match for a human brain (well, at least for smart humans lol)
Code:
125cc:
Nobody

250cc:
bestfit 4
Saleen  3
marcus  3
Dani F  3
Hazza   2.5
Schummy 2.5
Bleu    2.5

MotoGP:
Saleen  3
marcus  3
Bleu    3
Schummy 2.5

Total:
Saleen  6
marcus  6
Bleu    5.5
Schummy 5
bestfit 4
Dani F  3
Hazza   2.5
BOTTY   0
Obviously 125cc classification has not changed, so please copy&paste the commentary of the last round Well, Bleu is the fav for the title, he is smart, he is handsome and, also, he has one point advantage. Anyway no less than other 5 people have some chances, so this is going to be interesting.
Code:
125cc:           5    10
Bleu    11   ----+----+o
Schummy 10   ----+----o
Hazza    9.5 ----+---o
BOTTY    9.5 ----+---o
SALEEN   9.5 ----+---o
marcus   9   ----+---o
Dani F   5.5 ----o
bestfit  4   ---o
beau1    3   --o

     <Dan> <Ble>
    <bes> <Sch>
   <bea> <Haz>
         <BOT>
         <SAL>
         <mar>
Ummm... I think I have a good option for the title in 250... if those pesky Hazza and Dani are kind enough to hand me it. Saleen and Bleu can still get the title guessing something monstruous
Code:
250cc:           5    10
Schummy 14   ----+----+---o
Hazza   12   ----+----+-o
Dani F  11   ----+----+o
SALEEN  10.5 ----+----o
Bleu    10.5 ----+----o
marcus   9   ----+---o
BOTTY    9   ----+---o
beau1    6   ----+o
bestfit  4   ---o

         <mar><Sch>
      <bea> <Haz>
    <bes>  <Dan>
          <SAL>
          <Ble>
         <BOT>
In MotoGP I can control BOTTY (he/it is predictable, isn't he/it?) but I'm frightened by Blue's skill to guess with uncanny precission. If someone absurd win the race in Valencia, marcus, Dani and Hazza (Talmacsi?) can still win the title , they need 4 points and Schummy and Bleu (and BOTTY) a null.
Code:
MotoGP:          5    10
Schummy 15   ----+----+----o
BOTTY   15   ----+----+----o
Bleu    14   ----+----+---o
marcus  12   ----+----+-o
Dani F  12   ----+----+-o
Hazza   12   ----+----+-o
SALEEN  11   ----+----+o
beau1    8.5 ----+--o
bestfit  4   ---o

        <bea>  <Sch>
    <bes>      <BOT>
              <Ble>
            <mar>
            <Dan>
            <Haz>
           <SAL>
I'm surprised I'm leading the Total classification. I even have some gap but 3.5 points over Bleu is too small, I already know his precognitive powers. I think, however, I hope I can defend my (second?) place against Saleen and marcus

Theoretically Dani and Hazza have still a shot to the glory, but, let's be clear, it will require extraordinary circunstances (winners Poggiali, poor Puniet or Sete, for example ). BOTTY, by the way, is out of contention por prizes, it is just a reference to shame humans.
Code:
Total:           10   20   30
Schummy 39   ----+----+----+---o
Bleu    35.5 ----+----+----+--o
BOTTY   33.5 ----+----+----+-o
SALEEN  31   ----+----+----o
marcus  30   ----+----+----o
Dani F  28.5 ----+----+---o
Hazza   28.5 ----+----+---o
beau1   17.5 ----+---o
bestfit 12   ---o

              <Dan><Sch>
         <bea>    <Ble>
      <bes>      <BOT>
               <SAL>
               <mar>
              <Haz>
And we will meet again for the last round. I feel Bleu will be again the big winner and I also have a feel the "moderaclones" Hazza, marcus and Dani are going to attack fiercely. Saleen is able to win again (as in this round), and bestfit surely will rsik again some good guesses. At least if beau1 goes on missing I hope I will be able to beat him!
