Best F1 livery
As we have had a thread about the worst F1 liveries (a rather negative topic) I thought it might be intresting to see which liveries people thought were the best. I'm particuarly interested to see which (if any) minor teams make this list is they have come in for a bit of a bashing in the other thread.
Here are some of my favourites: The 1991 Jordan- http://mschumacher.formula.hu/16.jpg The 1990 Tyrrell with the raised nose- http://www.motoresenv.com/varios/fot...tores/naka.jpg The 1954 Mercedes Streamliner (my favourite F1 car ever)- http://www.germancarfans.com/classic...611.002.1L.jpg |

Couldn't see many there that I particuarly hated with the exception of the '98 Williams. I thought that the Rothman's livery the year before was much nicer. I would certainly agree thet the Orange-Arrows were good looking cars though I always thought that the 2002 one was the nicest with that high front wing.

My favourites:
Jordan 197 - The one with the snake head on it. Absolutely fantastic. Arrows - The various Orange sponsored schemes were all great. Lotus - JPS, black and gold - classic. |

I liked the Yardley BRM's from 70-71 and the JPS Loti, the early '70's 72D being the sweetest.
I also liked the harlequin Kronenbourg Larrouse. |

I always loved the '91 McLaren. Plus the Canon Williams-Renault's - I liked the early 80's Brabhams which Piquet won two titles with as well. Plus '91 Benetton, '91 Jordan, those black and yellow Minardis, and for some reason I always found that '93 all-black Sauber very nice to look at too...

I'm always amazed by how many people cite the Cannon Williams livery as a good one. It always seemed to me to be an afterthought and that it really hadn't been designed but that they merely painted different parts of the car different colors to satisfy the sponsors. Willys Saudia livery that preceded it and the Rothmans which followed were much more successful. I'd really like some one to give me a compelling reason why THIS is "good".

The Martini Brabhams of the mid 1970s were supercool. So cool in fact that Martini still have them on their main website today. The Benetton Alfa's of Riccardo Patrese and Eddie Cheever in the mid 1980s were fabulous too. Large posters of them were emblazoned all over the Benetton stores back then.

Hard to know really why people love that livery so much, It might be that we associate that car with Nigel Mansell |
