Tettley couldnt agree, or Avesco wouldnt agree ?
With Avesco pushing for a Townsville street race, the Qld Raceway permanent circuit event was always in danger. If true, this is a sad day. |

Yes - well. Why not just go to the old Surfers Paradise track instead?
Lakeside doesn't exist any more. There is only one permanent circuit licenced for V8's in Queensland and that is the track the Queensland Government have an interest in and have stated has to coexist with any street circuit V8SA want. |

Lakeside would make Simmons Plains look like one of those flash UAE circuits....
While we are dreaming maybe a last hurrah for Darlington Park - screw the whining locals, cut some trees and race on the damn thing. Such a waste of a great venue. |

Qld Raceways always reminds me of the Wired World of Sports..."these cars have been going round and round and round, it's been so ******* BORING"

Unlicenced, run down, un-safe, equipment removed. Yep - it's still there and fit for racing.

I think you will find the the local council will not allow V8 Supercars to run on the Lakeside circuit.

So, big deal. Southern Queenslanders will have to wait until Indy to see the V8's... or else satisfy themselves with the Historics and Gp. C's or something else. Sad, that. Despite us pack of whingers protesting most heartily, I wouldn't expect major changes to Management's attitudes towards track or fans until something happens to make them think that perhaps they've got it wrong. As much as I tire of some of the palaver that goes on, I keep turning up, and tuning in, so I've only got myself to blame... but at least I'm in good company. Now what's the go with GTP? |

Serves Tetley right, they reckon what goes round comes round and Tetley has finally got his just deserves. He is just a dudding con man who couldnt lie straight in bed, if he deals with AVESCO like he deals with everyone else then it is good riddence to his boring paper clip.

A couple of days before the 2005 V8SC Calendar came out, my wife and I decided that we would go to the Winton round. Calendar comes out - No Winton round. Bugger.
February 2006 comes, and my wife suggests a trip to QLD some time in the middle of the year. "Hey, how about a week either side of July 23" says I. "Er, ok, why that particular weekend?" says she.... Still planning it, and haven't booked anything yet, but if this is the case, I've got to say "Bugger". |

Consider that this 'story' has now done the rounds early last year.
And the year before. And mostly will do it again next year. |
