TV Schedule
Anybody know what way the TV Schedule looks like for the 05 season on ITV. Will they use ITV 2 and 3 to broadcast live coverage of the qualifying on saturday and sunday

I guess it's all up in the air until they actually sort out what format qualifying will take.....

Correct.
ITV are contracturally allowed to use ITV2 and ITV3 for qualifying this year over and above the ITV1 committment - but given that individual shows would have to come out of those channels' (tight) budgets - that may only be on a few key occasions. |

Setanta
If you are as lucky as the Irish this year, you will be able to watch all of the F1 coverage this year including practice, warm ups all qualify sessions and the race and extended after race coverage, and team and driver interviews,
yippee. |

As far as I know, you are correct!
Word has it the Sunday qual idea will be dumped. The main broadcasters (RTL, RAI and ITV) don't want it - so we should see every qualifying session live this year. |

Frank's saying the teams don't really object to it - but I guarantee you Bernie will have it changed if the TV companies say they won't show it.

Oh, i'm sure your right K-B.
Could be an interesting stand off though, If the teams say they want quali's to run on sunday, what do the companys do? reluctantly show it? or disappoint their viewers? On the other hand, if the TV companys insist they are not showing it, what do the teams do? Stick to their guns and let their sponsers down? or give in? |

I don't think the teams have any objection either way, from what I hear.
If there's qualifying on Sunday, they'll do it, if there isn't - they don't mind. |
