Formula Student is extremely hard work but extremely enjoyable at the same time. We (Bill & I) haven't done it for a few years now and we still miss being there.
And every time we go to Silverstone we check the fence to see whether or not they've repaired it after that car took out the top rail. They still hadn't in April. Only Shelagh could have to write not one but two serious incident forms at a FS event!! If you get to go then you will have a wonderful time - guaranteed. |

In many ways it was the best ever.
Many, many thanks to all who helped. See you next year. |

Really enjoyable time and we were very well looked after in the baking heat. Can highly recommend it to all and great too see the amazing work of the uni students from so many countries. Definitely not a normal day on the bank.

I also miss looking after the Indian students who always seem to do it on a shoestring - we have had some fantastic moments when they've made it through the brake test at the last attempt on Sunday and when they completed the long run also on Sunday (having finally made it through the brake test)! The only time I've ever been mobbed was when I was able to hold up that sticker for them to put on their car! I felt like a pop star! That, to me, is the real spirit of the event.
