Did anyone see Brundle in the Jaguar on ITV?
I thought Brundle was fantastic in the jag around london, he really put on a show for the crowds instead of just crusing around. Bet he could still do it in an F1 car aswell.

Yes, funny that. Jag looking for a driver next year, why not 'woo' the best replacement for Webber by asking his manager to do a demo run in their car!! Very smart....

Brundle is too old for F1 drive now.
But anything to get him off ITV would be good. |

Really? I'm surprised. As far as I'm concerned, he's the only person on the ITV team worth listening to...... |

That's really quite brilliant! (and probably why managers like to start rumours about their drivers moving every season - think of all those free dinners!) |

I have to disagree with you esorniloc, i think brundle is a great commentator and one of the reasons why i still watch the sport. He's informative as well as sometimes comical, and his gridwalks are usually pretty cool too.
By the way i meant the other comment about him still having something to offer F1 driving-wise toungue in cheek. |

I thought Brundle was more entertaining on the streets of London than his 20 modern day counterparts at Silverstone!

I still believe Martin went before his time. There are several drivers on the current F1 grid who might well struggle to keep up if they had Martin as a team mate......

I don't think he could do anything in F1 anymore, but maybe in sportscars?
How many times has he been to Le Mans since he retired from F1? |

He's certainly still capable of cutting it in sportscars. Which is probably as much if not more than one or two in current F1 who just perhaps didn't get there on talent alone.....
Still, we'll never know now, I guess. |

He does a great job. |

He does. He is pretty much on a par with James Hunt which is something I never thought I'd be saying! Just a shame that the turnip that he has to work with is no Murray Walker

Craig - I'd agree with your signature except to say safety is much better. That apart, I agree.

So there we have it! We all love Martin Brundle it seems, i do agree with whoever said he retired to early. Think he could have gone on for a couple more seasons.

Better to retire with the public wanting more, than to hang on too long and endure the "when will you retire" questions.
Good driver, Brundle was, but his final season had a few too many mistakes. |

Yes he did. Ace commentator though. My head is on the chopping block too, but I also like James Allen's commentary. It has come a long way since 2001. OK, OK he is till 80% Formula 1 clueless, but like Klien, he is getting better.

James may or may not be getting better - but Ben Edwards is 100% ready for the job now!
