Suspension Geometry
Please help me get to grips with the basic choices that Designers of F1 cars have to determine when looking at next year's car's Suspension.
What are the decisions they need to make in terms of the direction they take. What are the options or is there not a North vs South choice (like you have when you go long or short wheelbase). Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. |

suspension geometry
Hi, there. I say the same, but if you want to have some hints, I suppose that the first thing they do is to ddesign the engine. From this point, they study weight distribution, tyres compunds, and all that.
Sound very little clear? Sorry, but I think that they have very similar susp sistem every year, maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, they change a lot of parameters depending on the circuit, and even on track. Regards. |
