Stack ST857 & Magneti Marelli DL cable MT1005

Hello,

I'm a new member on this forum and I have few technical questions regarding specific data acquisition system.
Trough the different posts I've read here, I think I could find somebody who could help me.
I'm working on 2 cars for Hill Climb, one osella 3L bmw and F399 Dallara.
On this osella we have a dashboard Stack ST8100 and I want to fit an HR800 data acquisition system (ST857). Ok it's a little bit old, but for the moment I will be ok for us. I can't found the Data Pro software to download and set-up the system. Maybe somebody on the forum has an old version of this software ?

My other question is about a magneti marelli MT930 data acquisition system which is fitted on F399 Dallara. We are missing the download cable MT1005 (centronic connector)! I can't find a 2nd hand cable (and MM doesn't want build new cable, they only want sell me a 4000 € new data acquisition system). If somebody on the forum could give me some indication to find a 2nd hand cable, it will be really helpfull !
The other way is to build my own cable. But it’s not a direct cable link; there is control board within the cable so I can’t build my own cable for the moment. And then I’m looking for a kind person who will agree to carefully open his parallel connector and take some pictures & made some wiring draft?
Maybe there is electronic specialist on the forum and somebody could help me to build my own cable.
I know the MT930 have 4 outputs to communicate with computer:
=> Rx (receipting data);
=> Tx (transmitting data);
=> Clk : clock (synchronization)
=> Ground
And as the DL cable is fitted on parallel port, I asked my if the transmission is done with a CAN protocol (if yes I will be completely lost , but I think the Centronic connector is too small to fit all electronic component for CAN protocol). If the transmission is done with a parallel way on the port (data on 4 / 8 bytes on pin 2 to 9 of the parallel port) I need an IC such 74HC595 or any else UART to convert serial transmission (Tx or Rx from MT930) to the computer. The last solution of transmission could maybe made trough RS232 protocol (Tx,Rx,Ground).What do you think about it?

enstone i feel for you i had a similar problem trying to get the cable from mm systems and magnetti . i even phoned france to talk to renault sport to ask them for help /info to remap the engine,but no one and i mean no one would help. all they wanted to do is sell me a new system .in the end i took the whole mm system out and fitted an emerald m3d ,now all is ok .i do hope ya get it sorted ,don't hold your breath though ....

Bad news for your old MM system. I spoke with some guys from digitek (really kind), they have found a new cable but for ........1080 €
So I have to find a 2nd hand cable or build my own cable!

I hope here somobody could help me for the stack software and MM cable!

you could try John Marby , he wired up our 01 Dallara with MM ignition and a Stack dash . send me a message and I will give you his mobile No We had a problem with the rev counter needing a raw signal and not a digital signal .Fixed that withe a poxy but £50 bit of wire from Stack

Just an other details, the original software for the Stack system.
It is V6 software.
So if someone has such a sofwtare on his desk, I will be really happy to have a copy !

I have Dallara F394 with Magneti Marelli MF3S ECU and MM dash. Want to buy MM unit for dataloging.
I am also going to race in hillclimbing with my dallara.

Yeah, I contacted that person from racecarsdirect.com and know that he doesnt have cable. How you solve your problem with cable? It will be very nice to have dataloging in my Dallara.
How much are you experienced with Dallaras? Can you help me with setting and modifications?
