Here's one for the dirty tricks enthusiasts - the ten-place penalty comes into force straight away. Now, Sao Paulo is a good circuit on paper for Michelin - so Ferrari will be thinking in terms of damage limitation... Imola is also likely to suit the Michelins (as it did last year)... Any drama and fracas taking place this weekend would therefore be potentially much more expensive for Williams than for Ferrari - since the penalty will be handed-out at a track where Ferrari stand less of a chance of winning. Just adds a little extra spice to the first corner - as if the situation isn't spicy enough. Love it.

You have a devious mind!
However, surely there is still less chance of anything happening now than before when the rule came in. Before there was no penalty so removing the opposition at an unfavourable event was even more likely. |

Actually I don't mean that, but I couldn't resist it! I personally hope that we don't see it's use too much (even if it would make the next race more interesting). |

We aren't going to have clean racing until they crack down on the tricks. Period. Anyone who saw the Yamaha 400 will tell you how well a rigid driving code works for producing good racing.

Don't forget however that Bridgestone have a brand new "Hot-tyre" for Brazil to try and cope with the searing heat, so i don't think its game over for the Bridgestone runners just yet...

Very true. Michelin tested a new tyre in Spain but according to Ralf it wont be available till Imola. Bridgestone have done a lot of homework. I fully expect them to be more competitive in warm conditions - cos Michelin have been wiping the floor with them on hot and dry circuits. Similarly, Im interested to see how the Michelins fare in the wet. From testing it looks as if they're still off the pace compared to the Bridgestone runners. |

Trouble for the drivers is - who can they put in the stewards meeting who isent biased himself?
Stewart and his love affair for Barrichelo? Brundle and his monthly pay cheque from DC? Nikki and his support for anyone who gives him money? The list is endless. You can never have a perfect system. The stewards like them or not - are perhaps the only logical choice. |

or as i've said before, get in stewards who have no interest what so ever in motorsport, and f1 in particular!
