I need a new camera.....

I am after a new camara, not a new DSLR, but a point and shoot one.

I have been in the Lakes this weekend on a re-union with some old friends from uni, so I wanted to take a camara to caputre the weekend and my DSLR was a tad big, as the weekend was based around the pub and walking up and down some rather large hills, so I borrowed my mum's 2 million mega pixal point and shoot, which was ok but I was not happy with the results.

So I have decided that I need a point and shoot, for this type of event, but I am not sure what to get, its needs to be small and cost somewhere between £100 and £200 anyone got any idea's?

Hi Rob

Few months ago bought my g/f a Sony Cybershot DSC W30, small, lightweight and good quality.

Sure you'll find details online. We bought it for £140 online, delivered. Probably find it a bit cheaper now. Think we bought it from cameras2u, here's a link - http://www.cameras2u.com/products/de...96c6541c7cbdff

Here's a link to spec - http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTE...ductSKU=DSCW30

She uses it in AUTO mode, quality really is excellent, sharp, easy to use = very impressed. AUTO is generally very accurate too (exposure, colours etc). Only thing to note is that things can get a bit "noisy" in low light (ISO 400 above), but the flash is again accurate and also you get the usual "shutter delay" - which is to be expected from point n shoots.

Hope that helps.
