F3/GT Snetterton 7/8th June.
Like to say well done to all marshals, and drivers for putting up with the conditions on Saturday, they were awful. This is, honestly, the last time I'll take notice of a BBC weather forecast. Well done to all on Revett's straight, don't know how much use the flag waving was!
Thanks to Jed & Trish was their wonderful hospitality on Saturday night, I@m sure I speak on behalf of mini1400 as well. Sunday was the complete opposite. Glorious weather, great post, Esses outside (though it does wake you when an Astion Martin comes past you backwards, in the morning warm-up). Hope the driver who had the unfortunate accident on Revetts straight, in the Ginetta G50 is OK. Well done to all involved in the recovery and clean up. Lastly, thanks to the flag people on the Revetts, just before the bridge for the blue flags and the stationary yellows. |

“I would like to thank all the marshals and officials for their help & support at the recent F3GT meeting at Snetterton. The weather on Saturday was dreadful and presented everyone with a challenge. Fortunately the sun shone on Sunday! MSVR will be back at Snetterton on July 19 & 20 and I hope we’ll see you again then. Thanks again.
David Scott Event Director MSVR” |

At one point on Saturda we had three F3's in the field @ Riches and one of the Caterhams visited us in the gravel under double waved yellows while one of the crew was out there doing a live snatch |

as stated elsewhere http://tentenths.com/forum/showpost....1&postcount=14 Does anybody know what happened subsequently to the (presumed blind) driver of the caterham. Or was it a case of "we forgive you, because the conditions were bad"? Last edited by Bodysnatcher; 10 Jun 2008 at 15:04. |

Didn't get involved in the clean up operation, as there were already lots of people doing a great job, apart from sweeping the grass from the track, under the bridge. |

‘To the marshals & medical crews at Snetterton for the GT/F3 race weekend 7th & 8th June:
I am a competitor in the Ginetta G50 series & unfortunately suffered an accident on Revett Straight during our first race on Sunday resulting in me ending up in the circuit’s medical centre. Please could you pass on my thanks to the guys involved in looking after me as they did a fantastic job? Whilst it may be some time before my car is back in one piece I hope to race again soon at Snetterton, although hopefully without a repeat visit to the medical centre! Thank you again for the fantastic job you guys did. Jon Cook G50 Car No 47’ |

As one of the first couple of people to arrive at the car following the incident it's nice to hear that the chap is ok. I can imagine he may have had a headache for a little while afterwards though!!
It is testament to the build of the G50 that it held up so well to such a high speed crash. Last edited by Zymurgy661; 11 Jun 2008 at 14:54. |
