Tsn You Suck
TSN has the SPEED channel feed, shows the entire race then instead of waiting for driver interviews and the podiums they switch to a hockey game already in progress! What incompetance! It woudn't be so if SPEED channel wasn't blacked out. TSN switches to hockey I say ok I'll watch the rest on SPEED but then the blackout is still in effect! CART HAS TO DO SOMETHING! They do stuff like this all the time. TSN NEVER blacks out the F1 race even when both TSN and Speed are showing the same race.....To top it off a Canadian wins, a Canadian channel does this ........

Apparently it's Molstar who's causing the problem.
It wasn't the end of the world, just be glad TSN showed it live. |

It could get worse, remember that baseball season starts in another week, then you'll have them breaking in for the start of Blue Jays games.

After reading the topic of this thread, for a moment I thought it was one that I had started and then forgotten about! Jump on my anti-TSN bandwagon! Today, at least we saw the race, and even the pre-race. So I've got no problems really. It pales in comparison to the Fontana run last year. TSN is terrible. Of course, I'm only saying that because I get SV. So I sympathize with those who don't.

I was pretty p*ssed to not see the post-race, myself. And there's no replay scheduled on speed...
PT said he "needed to work on his donuts." What happened? |

Don't worry about TSN breaking away from races to Blue Jay games...most of their games are on Sportsnet this year.

Couldn't find an address for MolStar, but again I've emailed TSN. Of course, history has taught me not to hold my breath in waiting for a reply. They tend to run away and hide.

I don't know about you guys but I look forward to the post race interviews, not getting it left a void.
The blackouts were non-exixtant for DECADES, but about the midway point of the racing season last year (when CART was supposed to fold) the blackouts began. Weird isn't it? TSN could say Molstar is causing this but why woudn't TSN blackout SPEED for F1 I'm sure Air Canada would applaud a blackout so we could see their constant commercials. |

Fair enough, and this wasn't an attack on the sport in general. I played in little league for about 10 years, but I can't stand to watch it on TV... Going to games is fun, and a good way to spend the afternoon, but perhaps television time would be better spent showing CART races? Just my (biased) opinion...
Hockey is the sport of gods anyway... |

Yep, baseball sucks. I would rather clean the garage, than watch baseball. but a game is fun to be at and enjoy with a few beers.

Yeah, my VCR died, and I was working, so I still haven't seen the race. Hope Cart.com has the Speed on Demand feed up and running soon, though that rarely functions without problems...
