150bhp is excellent from your xr2i
would you consider racing mighty minis??
as i'm thinking of joining them next season
or do you prefer single seaters with more power!!??

Hi, thanks for the comments

I have considered many championships. Mighty Minis is a good championship and is very popular with the crowds. If i was going to race in saloons, Id prefer something a little bigger like XR2 or other hot hatch.

Have you considered the Super Coupe Championship ? you could race a Renault 5GT Turbo i quite fancy a CRX or GT Turbo in that championship.

From all the training etc Ive had, I actually feel more at home in a single seater and the performance of them is great, so ill go for seagle seaters if i can. (hopefully next year at some point)

hi woody
i've been looking into the mighty minis and also the supercoupe cup racing r5turbo, i did try to see them both @ silverstone bit missed the supercoupe as they raced on the sat only DOH!
i think there are only 3 other 5turbos running in the champ at the mo
so thats a shame, i think the running cost will be quite a lot more than the minis but i need to go see them racing and speak to some drivers.....
would be great racing a turbo on the track thou as i know the cars very well had mine now for about 5 years
so i'm still undecided. was very impressed with the mini racing looks like great fun....
i did drive a ff1600 about 15 years ago for a scholarship
they are great little cars very quick only made the next round thou

I have a leaflet from BRSCC and it mentions a few championships with fairly similar (estimated) costs, Mighty Minis was the cheapest closely followed by SuperCoupe and Porsche 924. But better to ask the drivers to find out what they think.
