calcium should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Any fans of Bemsee Powerbikes on this site??

I visited the Bemsee Powerbikes meeting for the first time last weekend, although the weather was a bit wet I loved it. I haven't seen any recent posts on this site about Club racing for bikes, are there any fans out there or am I a newcomer on my own??? (If you are a bike fan I'd recommend you go and support these meetings, they are god fun full of "normal people")

i started a thread entitled BEMSEE MEETING as me and the wife think this meeting is the best and closest two wheel racing that we have ever seen. we attended The bemsee at Brands on this saturday and i am very sad to say that there was a very bad incident along the main straight which lead to one fatality and 6 others being injured. I am sure that everyone out there sends their deepest sympathys to the riders family and friends. He was like all riders and drivers, out there to satisfy his need for speed and to entertain us spectators it just such a shame that he had to pay the ultimate price.
I would like to write a few more lines on what is allways a terrific meeting but feel it would be inapropriate at this present time.

Always happy to sing the praises of Bemsee - my favourite club, & the one that got me into marshalling!

Bemsee Powerbikes fans

Although I am with Bemsee on the officials side....I love watching the Powerbike Tour and have many friends who attend the meetings to spectate....they used to be avid followers of BSB but since spectating our first visit to Snetterton earlier this year they have become big followers of our races. For the price of £10 entry you get so many action packed races and I'm glad to hear you've found our racing exciting to watch. We're off back to Snetterton this weekend for two days of more fairing scrapeing in the Nationwide league which includes Powerbikes, Supertwins, SS600, SS400, 125GP and 250GP's plus many other classes. Our riders love Snetterton and are enjoying playing in front of the larger audiences we've been attracting. Remember we're also on Moto+, Sky Sports 2 and 3 a few weeks later so we can all relive the excitement again. Roll on tomorrow night......

i too am an avid fan of the bemsee powerbikes ( i race in the powerbike class )and it's always nice to hear how much the spectators enjoy it. i would be carefull describing the people involved as normal though as i can assure you a lot of them are not.

paul david
the events of 8 june were truly tragic. gavins death was a huge loss. but having attended his funeral i can safely say he had a very good send off.

dave brand
its a shame you can't attend more bemsee meetings as i would really like to meet you and kaybee. but as you only do the north and i only do the south it's not very likely. still i'm hoping to make anglesey later this year so hopefully we can meet up there.

midge
i quite agree roll on tomorrow night. wouldn't mind being able to put a face to your name too.
perhaps i'll find ya in the bar

Daniel, a huge welcome to Ten-Tenths. Nice to have you amongst us and I would reitterate my sympathies to the family of Gavin.

Whilst I don't marshal for bike meetings I do enjoy the close racing and spectacle that they provide. Hopefully we will meet at Brands or Lydden sometime as well?

Stephen.

The next Bemsee meeting is 10 August and MRO are due on 21 September. There is, however, a New Era meeting on 20 July.
