He's only saying that because they're short on works cars - if 4 works cars retire on the first day then the TV cameras will end up having to show (shudder) privateers!
Does anybody know what Max smokes? |

Not sure what it will do for world rallying, but several U.K. rallies run trophy events for those that have had to pull out early in an event. It depends on how they do it. If for instance one of the top twenty entrants had a breakdown on the first day of a rally, but on the second had to start at the back it could prove interesting.
The other thing that could happen is a top twenty driver resumes his seeding on the second day, he could become a blocker if his team mate is in with a chance. |

Saw this in Autosport the other week, sounds like a ridiculous decision to me, too much chance for controversy!
Maybe allowing them to run along last but only for practicing, can't allow them to be classified after retiring. |

hahahahahaha anyway, perhaps they should introduce a ARC "Heats" Style system where you can compete in the 2nd Heat if you crash out of the first?
(ps: atleast he's not getting paid to make thoose descisions) |

I think this isn't a good idea. In my opnion rally is an endurance race, maybe it's a better idea to make WRC cheaper so teams can enter a 3rd car.
And if the factory cars retire there are always some privateers who would be happy to get some TV coverage. Or show also JWRC during the TV coverage. |
