Sylvania 300
On Sunday, NASCAR Nextel Cup moves to the New Hampshire International Speedway for the Sylvania 300. This is the first race of the “Chase for the Championship”. Roush Racing is the odds-on favorite to take its third consecutive championship trophy. They have five drivers who made it into the “Chase”. They comprise half of the eligible drivers including 2003 Nextel Cup champion Matt Kenseth and 2004 winner Kurt Busch. The others are youngster Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle and Mark Martin.

What is it with Robby Gordon and New Hampshire? He won his first race there, but the last couple years he seems to want to be the center of controversy there. He has talent and could have a lot of success if he wouldn't shoot himself in the foot on a regular basis. I have a feeling this time he is going to get more than a fine and probation and will probably get (he should be) suspended.

Great race at NHIS. There was a little bit of everything including some great last laps with good racing among the top 6.
