No, CART have blown it with there crappy new tv deal and engine changes.
CART have looked backwards to battle the IRL rather than looking forwards to battle F1. All CART needed was more publcity and a very good tv deal, but it doesn't look like we are gonna get that in europe. |

CART does have to battle IRL, if its not successful in America it loses its grounding. With raceas in Europe its taking on a more global status, but never gets enough publicity in Europe. All the same, I'm optimistic that it won't lose out to IRL, and will continue to be an intellegent exciting alternative to F1.

CART is still the best series in the world, in my opinion.

Chris Pook has repeatedly said that CART in no way intends to compete with Formula One.

I think World Rally is the Premier Motorsports Series in the world.
But Champ Cars is trying to give itself an international look in its rules changes this year, to make people think of F1 when they watch it -- too bad they have decided to run pedal cars after this year, but who knows, if the series takes off this year, we could see a change! If it ain't broke ... Meanwhile I'm going to sit back and enjoy the fun. |

CART would be silly to try and battle with F1 as it does not have the same global recognition. It is still essentially an American based series. First and foremost, they must DESTROY that other series!!
With Pook now as the leader, expect CART to pick up there act a lot. |
