Jim Walsh Trophy, Who will win it?
It looks like its going to be a cracking race with the quality of the entry and anyone of a number of people could win it. I've not a clue who will come off best but i'm sure its going to be close. Hopefully Chris Chiz will be up there mixing it with the frontrunners and if recent form is anything to go by i don't see why not so good luck to him.
I'm just gutted i can't be part of it! Hope its a good one guys. |

I'm rooting for Chiz to do well too - I think he could spring a surprise. Shame you're not there Dave, why is that?

I just simply haven't got the budget to do it. Its a shame because it would be a great opportunity to drive on the full circuit but i'm thankful i get the opportunity to race at all so i cant really complain.

That's a shame. Hopefully I will see you at Anglesey in a couple of weeks.

Because the BRDC don't pay MST to have the times online (I think). Assuming we have a phone line, we'll have updates after FF1600 qualifying and race online within minutes.

Thanks to all who competed in the Jim Walsh Trophy at the BRDC Spring Races.
I have been told by friends watching out on the GP Circuit that it was the best race they had seen for many years at Silverstone. Well done ! I would love to hear comments on BRDC meetings - feel free to put pen on paper and mail to: James Beckett BRDC Assistant Club Secretary BRDC Silverstone Circuit Towcester Northants NN12 8TN JEB |

In November the WHT runs after the clocks have been altered - the days are shorter and races would have to be only 3 laps or so to make it work. Also a cost implication would make me unable to offer WHT competitors such a great entry fee level, and hence the meeting would not be such a success.
The WHT is a National Circuit meeting - and I hope to see a massive entry in November. Formula Ford 1600 will return to the GP Circuit in 2006 at least once - and maybe at a new meeting as well ! |

If FF1600 returns to the GP circuit what chance of it being as long as the fuel tanks will allow, purely to increase photo opportunities of course
A meeting that replicated the GP meetings of the 70's would be cool (obviously you'd need TGP rather than the current batch) |

Excellent report by Ian Sowman (Sorry got to be carefull not to mention the website as i have had my Ten Tenths licence endorsed for infringing the rules on this issue). The race sounded awesome. Kicking myself now for not making the effort now.

I wish I could take the credit for writing it - Matt Beer did that, while I just watched the racing and chatted to a few people.
