Thank you to all the Marshals and Officials who helped us today at Cadwell Park's BARC meeting.

Some of you came a long way to help, some did jobs you weren't used to but all of you did a great job ensuring the meeting ran smoothly and without major incident.

I hope you all enjoyed it and had a safe trip home.

May I ask what your title was today Mr. Owen? You were doing a secretarial role in morning, putting out fires in the afternoon, as well as being a roving marshal.

Dogsbody springs to mind, but didn't see that title in the programme.

What a cracking day! Finally got home at 0115 on Monday, but well worth it.

I hope that the guy whose car was on fire in the pit exit can get it sorted out in time for his next meeting, it looked like a costly job. It was very kind of him to provide us with the opportunity for a pit lane BBQ, but it was hot enough already! (And the grill on the bonnet was not fit for purpose for marshal's burgers - it melted too quickly.)

Can we make it a rule that if a scrutineer comes down to the pitlane licking a scrummy looking ice cream he has to provide one for each member of the startline/pits crew? It was almost like showing a dehydrated man a drink but not letting him have it!

Many thanks guys for making me feel very welcome for my first Cadwell trip, I will certainly look at visiting again in the future.

Thank you for another great days racing, special thank you to david for putting siobhan and I together on post and to ben for agreeing to keep us in line, put up with me on post two weekends on the trot.
