2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Round 24: IRWIN Tools "Night Race"; Bristol Motor Speedway
This is being refereed to as "night race" so I am assuming that it is a 500 lap event, as standard at the Cereal Bowl. Tis one of my favorite races all year.
Jayski Race Page 50% chance of rain tomorrow. 48 cars are entered: The #4 Morgan McClure Motorsports is entered with Keven Lepage. Robby Gordon is listed T&S in the #07 Q-ing this evening at 520pm est Green flag around 743pm est Saturday Night Should be a good'n! John Paul, Newman, Jeff Burton, Gilliand and Bowyer at the top of the charts in practice 1. |

Is the build up always like the pre-amble to a fight! Kurt Busch & Brad Keslowski threatening each other over the PA then AJ Almandinger hoping he's out of the way "when it goes down" .. this ain't F1!

We need Don King for this race
Why did NASCAR throw that caution, I mean really? |

And yet, there is an actual race to run. First restart after caution #1 for David Gilliand getting into the wall. |

I'm sort of glad to be getting the Open Access broadcast here in the UK, most of the time it just defaults to various cameras with a very low audio level, picked up a few incidents that happened on break before now...

I can at least flip over to the radio and MRN/PRN during the commercials. I prefer their commentating anyways...

Looks to me like Jamie Mac is the only one that has anything for the 18.
EDIT: Kahne is the quickest on the track and coming forward. |

I know I will catch a lot of flack for this, but I am getting a kick out of all the complaining from the fans because Kyle won.
It's not the end of the world, people. Move on. Last edited by MJ_N_09; 22 Aug 2010 at 04:31. |

You kidding me? I hate seeing the guy cry about nothing, but I think he is catching too much flack for his on track attitude.

He wouldn't get so much flack for is on-track attitude if his off track demeanor was half way pleasant. But it's not, and no matter how good the guy is behind the wheel, if he is a jerk, he deserves every bit of criticism given to him.

As always, entertaining stuff at Bristol - congrats to Kyle on the 3-sweep , he sure can drive. Now that he has achieved this hopefully he wont race trucks/nationwide again
With 80 laps to go Ambrose was in P8, then caution/pitstop & he loses a lap & finishes 20th - what happened? Are his crew **** or was it just badluck... |
