spanner should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Silverstone LMES

I am due to come up and marshal at silverstone for the first time for the LMES meeting and have no idea on where everything is, where do you normally sign on?

Just worried as i am on holiday for the next two weeks and so i just hope the details arent sent to my normal address. But just in case, is it like MSV circuits where i need a ticket to get in? can i just tell them on the gate i'm marshalling? I'm assuming sign on times around 7 till 8 on the sat, but where would this be?

Just hoping to get an idea so if i dont recieve anyhting then i'm covered!

thanks any help

Mark

The Silverstone regulars may be able to tell you better but sign on is usually in the bar at the back of the paddock. Through the gate, over the bridge, straight on, then bear right and follow the road round, and then turn right into the car park.
I've usually been waved through if I'm in orange without having to show a ticket but they could (should) ask to see one (sometimes we have vehicle passes too, but not recently).
I don't know what time sign on is but there's a timetable on the BRSCC website (don't look, it's frightening!). As the first session Friday and Saturday is 9:00 we'll probably need to be on post by 8:30 at the latest so sign could be very early.

For a 9am start on post is usually 8.40am and sign on is 7.30-8.15am. Sign on is in the paddock bar in the centre of the circuit and paul gives good directions.

Spanner depending on if you have given a different address i would have thought that they would go to your normal address. As it is a fairly big event I would have thought you would need your tickets.

Thanks everyone. I'd put my name my name down for it, then later trying to work out when to take holiday realised that i could come back down from Scotland and stay with my mum in bedfordshire the night before but would mean i wouldnt be at my home the week before. Whos the contact for marshalling at silverstone so i can check?

Mark....If you are doing incident, then your contact should be pam.dearn@silverstone-circuit.co.uk Any other discipline,I think it's BRSCC(midlands) Chief Marshal John Sadler
