Normally not to bad ford saloons good fast racing fiesta's and mini's anything can happen, porsche racing normally good grids and do not mind exchanging some paint work. T cars just hope they don't turn up jedi's ok as long as there is a good grid.

Probably because the series has been cancelled due to low entries.

Just read that pity, but it will more than likely be back in 2009
just to look at the names that have come out of the T-Cars, Tom Chilton & Tom Onslow-Cole (BTCC), Jonathan Cocker (British GT & Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Champion), Tom Boardman (SEAT Cupra Champion & BTCC), Matthew Wilson (World Rally Championship), Jonathan Kennard (F3 race winner & GP2 aspirant), Ollie Playle (SCSA Champion), Ryan Lewis (British F3 Scholarship Champion), Freddy Nordstrom (Mini Challenge S class champion & SEAT race winner), Adrian Quaife Hobbs (Formula Renault Europe & Italy), Max Chilton (youngest ever F3 driver), Stuart Hall (4th at Le Mans 2007) James Jakes (F3 Euro Series). |

T-cars tended to have the "Marmite Effect" -- you either loved them or hated them. They were a good starting point for a number of drivers, as Malco states, provided some close racing at times, but unfortunately rarely produced a grid of double figures.
I shall be there, looking forward to one of BRSCC's few meetings at Brands Hatch this year. Last edited by Bryan Degerlund; 10 Aug 2008 at 11:17. |

T-Cars gave me & Simon (The Pits) some entertainment in my first evermeeting at Donington.
I was in the pit lane holding them to release to the grid. Whilst waiting for , I think, 4 cars to come & join us & we seen them go round the course car (which was blocking the circuit at pit lane entance) procreed down the start/finish straight & complete a circuit. Simon's jaw dropped, head shook & in true Victor Meldrew style said " I don't believe it" then Remember it Simon? The 2 days seem just like yesterday. The doctor says I'm making progress & should be ok in a few years I think the series could have been a good series but unfortunatly the grid sizes were way to small. |

The only good thing about T-cars was if the driver got out of the car I would kick him out of the pits as being under age |

The BRSCC had to make the T cars bulletproof because they were pioneers in an area where no one else had gone. The record of Tcars graduates that malco listed shows how well the youngsters were taught. The current popular series for youngsters have their good points but I feel are a lot freer when it comes to regulation.
Small grids seemed in part to be due to the high costs? Anyhoo, the timetable for the weekend is available from those nice people that own the circuit. Looking forwadr to a meeting on the Indy circuit for a change. https://tickets.motorsportvision.co....h%20August.pdf |

The Fiesta championship is oversubscribed, several reserves from what I have been told.
Be a good days racing if it wasn't at the other end of the country. |

Well I'll be there both days. Arriving (cough) late as usual on the Saturday because of the same reason as the other times.
So be warned, the second a car crashes near your post at around 10.30 I have arrived. |
